  Had the worst racial experience today at this restaurant. The only lady server today was not at all interested in greeting us. The restaurant offered complimentary soup for each guest at the table. While all others were served in proper soup bowls she served us in takeout bowls. And to top it she served us soup after our main course arrived only after asking for it. Any additional request made was answered very rudely. We requested her to give serving spoons for the good ordered but she denied asking us to use the personal cutlery given. While rest of the tables were given separate spoons to serve. For leftover foul we requested her for an appropriate container which was outrightly rudely denied. Another server helped us with the container. We came here for the first time and had the best food but this kind of behaviour certainly left a bad taste for us forever.

  The chicken and lamb mandi is amazing! Portion sizes are huge and the price is great. However, after we finished our dinner we ordered 2 tres leches cakes and 4 teas. The cups of tea that were brought out were so tiny we thought forsure these were just complimentary and we would be brought our tea eventually. We also had to ask for our cake multiple times because nobody would bring it to our table. I love their food but I would highly recommend you don't buy their tea or desserts as they're a rip off.

  We’ve ordered whole chicken mandi and were utterly disappointed by the taste. Chicken tasted like paneer whereas I expected it to be juicy tbh. Rice was okayish. This is an authentic Yemeni restaurant so I’m not sure whether authentic mandi tastes like it. Any Yemeni can let me know. The ambience is amazing and its def an experience.

  Une expérience absolument inoubliable au restaurant Yamani ! Dès mon arrivée, j’ai été impressionné par la qualité de l’accueil : chaleureux, attentionné et sincère, on se sent tout de suite à l’aise. C’était ma première visite il y a trois jours… et depuis, j’y retourne chaque jour tellement j’ai adoré ! La nourriture est tout simplement délicieuse, pleine de saveurs et préparée avec soin. On sent la passion dans chaque plat. L’ambiance générale est conviviale et agréable, ce qui rend chaque moment encore plus spécial. Je suis en vacances ici, et honnêtement, ce restaurant va énormément me manquer. Une chose est sûre : je reviendrai sans hésiter lors de mon prochain passage. Merci à toute l’équipe pour cette magnifique expérience

  I recently dined at Monasaba on Dundas Street in Mississauga and had an absolutely excellent experience. The food was outstanding from start to finish, especially the lamb and chicken mandi. The meat was incredibly tender, packed with flavour, and cooked perfectly, falling right off the bone. The rice was fragrant, well-seasoned, and layered with spices, fried onions, and subtle sweetness that really elevated the dish. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, easily some of the best Yemeni-style food I’ve had in the GTA. Portions were very generous, offering great value for the quality and quantity of food served. The dishes are clearly prepared with care, and you can taste the traditional cooking style in every bite. The restaurant itself has a casual, comfortable atmosphere, with a simple but welcoming interior that feels family-friendly and relaxed. It’s not a fine-dining setting, but it fits perfectly with the style of food they serve — warm, hearty, and unfussy. Service was quick, efficient, and friendly, even during busy times. Overall, I’d give it a 5/5 stars. The combination of authentic flavours, excellent mandi, and great portion sizes makes Monasaba a standout spot in Mississauga, and I would absolutely return again and again. They also have an outlet at Ridgeway plaza which I have also visited several times and found the quality/ service to be as good as the Dundas location albeit with a more modern and updated interior.
