My parents live in the area so I've been to Ramona's many times. Really cute little cafe, nice staff, yummy pastries, and good service. However, the last two times I went, I ordered a medium Americano with oat milk; both times even though one customer was ahead of me, it took almost 25 minutes to receive my order, it tasted flavourless and weak, like drip coffee. I'm not sure if Ramona's is only using one espresso shot in their medium Americanos, but it sure tasted like that. Barely any body or flavour, and this was $5. Otherwise, Ramona's is a nice place to go.
I paid $11.29 for a piece of cherry Greek yogurt cheesecake last night, and unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. The yogurt and cheese on the surface were very dry, and the cake itself tasted stale and old, with a dry, crumbly texture. It also upset my stomach afterward.
When you charge $11.29 for a single piece of cake — which is among the higher prices you’ll find in the GTA — customers naturally expect a high-quality, fresh product. Otherwise, I could simply go to Tim Hortons or Starbucks and pay around $4.
If you’re pricing your products at a premium, you should also make sure the quality and freshness justify that price.
And I genuinely want to ask the owner: Would you personally eat this piece of cake and feel that it was fresh enough to serve to a customer?

friendly staff and clean atmosphere
Best brunch place I’ve been to. Such a welcoming staff and great hospitality. Food is beyond amazing, they serve it to you very quick. I ordered the Ramona’s chef salad and I genuinely didn’t think you could make me love a salad for brunch. Ordered a mango pineapple smoothie and it was just perfect especially while sitting outside in the sunny weather. And don’t get me started on their cookies🤤🤤
