The manager or the court came to our table and told us flatly that the meal was not cold. We told him it was cold. He then told us that we left it on the table too. We explained that it was just brought to the table. I asked for a refund. He brought money back and slammed it down on the table. We will never ever come to this restaurant again.

I ended up up with a dinner & 2 burgers (I will have to make it a point to come back more often). One staff member opened a door for me upon entry. The girl at the cash was fast & friendly. She also prepared my burgers. No complaints! The 1/4 chicken was much smaller than I remember & the dark meat a little dry (I worked at Swiss Chalet 35 yrs ago). With the baked potato; used to come with sour crème at 1 time. 3 Butter were provided but nothing beyond that. Other than that everything was "spot on". The Harvey's burgers were far better than I remember too.

They were steady busy, but we had our food rather quickly. I let them know they were out of napkins & condiments at the condiment/pop station (also the station was dirty & needed cleaning). They still were not refilled (or cleaned) when we left after we finished eating. The tables were in need of cleaning in the dining room. Usually these things are not in this state, even when I've seen it this busy. Overall, the food was very good.

It is amazing how much a warm smile and a pleasant hello can set the tone for your entire visit. Emma was friendly, cheerful and genuinely welcoming from the moment I walked in. Before I had even ordered my meal, she had already made it feel like I had chosen the right place to come. I made a point of thanking her for her great smile and positive attitude. Employees like Emma are wonderful ambassadors for a business and deserve to be recognized. Congratulations to Emma and the team at Swiss Chalet LaSalle. Great customer service still matters, and Emma certainly demonstrated it today.
