Enjoyed the Thanksgiving feast combo. The chicken and ribs were perfect! Excellent service by Isaiah and the new manager Shreya was very attentive.

This location on Highland was disappointing. Server was slow and took forever to bring bills at the end and we told her in the beginning seperate billing and it was not done. Took forever to complete transaction using Scene card points. It seemed like she was new but from others in my party said she had been there for some time and unfortunately they are not going to return as they have had enough of her bad service. Glad I normally go to Fairway as the team and management there are wonderful.

Food wasnt cold, it was really cod and old , dry like from hours ago. Called store and lady manager blamed uber eats. My foom arrived in 20 minutes so cant be the issue. Food was already old and cold before that. I said to her you need to have pride and throw out old food and send out fresh food and she got Defensive and said its ubers falt but we all know the difference from cold food and stale food except Swiss chalet doesnt. Such a shame. I use to love Swiss Chalet but my wife is done with them . 3 times in a row she doesnt want to get sick from it.

It has been about a year since my family and I have had Swiss Chalet. We used to love to go into the restaurant and enjoy a meal. But the last 9 to 10 years it has not been the same. We ordered a Family pack tonight and our daughter went to pick it up. We are at Victoria South and Park St. So not that far away from the Highland Road Store. By the time she got home with the meal it was already cold. When the chicken was ordered it was requested the chicken be cut in half and it was. I was then placed into a 4"x8" box with room! it was so small the half chickens were the size the breast alone used to be. Chicken was very dry / over cooked. *NOTE , a Costco chicken would have been 500% better. Once we got that divided up we started into the sides, a perogy with bacon and cheese, a "mac and cheese" a mashed potato and a coleslaw. The cheese on the perogy was the same ear wax looking stuff you get when you order nachos and cheese at the movies; oily and sticky and not really cheese. The bacon looked like they took 1 strip and cut it up and threw that on top of the ear wax, then they went as far to make it look like they cared enough to throw some green onion on top of that but not the green part, just the white parts. The "Mac and Cheese" consisted of the same ear waxy cheese sauce and penne noodles, also cold and congealed at this point, so not very enjoyable at all. Instant mashed potato and gravy mix or canned, hard to mess that up but absolutely no effort from the kitchen staff. Coleslaw right out of the bag just add the oil and vinegar dressing. Oh the price, which used to be $34.99 is now $45.00 plus tax so close to $60. All-in-all very disappointed and would not recommend Swiss Chalet to anyone. That goes for the Weber St. location, The Boardwalk Location or the Victoria St. North location. All these locations have been tried and we have been disappointed each time. Dining in doesn't seem to make a difference it is just easier to let the store know how disappointed you are! But like all great Canadian institutions; they begin to decline in way or another. Swiss Chalet is trying to cut corners to save a buck. Which I understand but eventually the customer will catch on and quit ordering. Once that happens, you wont see Swiss Chalet anymore like Eaton's. Like The Bay. Like Zellers. All great Canadian institutions, but no longer around. Bring back the Zeddy Burger and it wont be the same :( - Thanks for reading and if you're looking for a chicken dinner, i would suggest mixing and matching. Get the Costco chicken, The Mary Brown's Wedges, The Popeye's Chicken Coleslaw and mashed potatoes with Cajun Gravy, the Church's Chicken honey buttered biscuits, and run to Zehr's and grab a Ziggy's cheese and macaroni salad!
