  We were just here today for a 4pm reservation of 14. Deanna was our server and was SO fantastic! She was friendly, quick , and extremely attentive without feeling rushed. Our group comprised of children, adults and some elderly, and she was great with all, made all the difference for our Mother’s Day outing!

  While ordering our food, I wanted to order à meal to go. The server was reluctant to take that order, citing the existence of à "to go" counter. Then, after we had had a chance to try our food, as I was starting to say I didn't like mine, the server wandered off. Not wanting to waste food, I ate it, and she eventually came around to ask how everything was, I told her point blank that I didn't like the way my food tasted. Again, she just wandered away wordlessly. Not willing to wait another possibly half an hour, , once we were done eating, we walked over to the bar to pay. I told the person that I didn't like my meal. She said "tell your server." I said "I did." So then she also wandered away.

  Went to the Upper James location for take-out and the man serving me was either annoyed or angry at the fact that I was ordering a whole chicken. I don't know why he was mad about it, but perhaps he should have kept his personal feelings to himself.

  Unfortunately the chicken was overcooked, was dry and the outside burnt. This hopefully was a one off as I love Swiss Chalet, fingers crossed I can write another review where I can say how good the chicken was.

  Ordered take out. The lady working the take out was not friendly at all. She looked like she was mad that she had to work. No smile and forgot the cutlery. I thought it was just me but she was rude to the lady behind me as well.
