    I was very disappointed with the server’s knowledge about the food and the incorrect information I was given. I recently had dinner at Swiss Chalet and was confused about the type of meat used in the ribs. I asked the server specifically whether the ribs included in the combo were beef and not pork. She confidently confirmed that they were definitely beef. I then asked what type of beef it was, and she said she wasn’t sure. I asked again to make absolutely certain that the ribs were not pork, and she again confirmed that they were not pork. After receiving the food, I checked online and found that the ribs served by Swiss Chalet are pork back ribs. This was very disappointing, especially because I had specifically asked the server twice to confirm the type of meat and was given incorrect information both times. If a customer asks about ingredients or the type of meat being served, the staff should have accurate information or check with someone who does. Customers should be able to rely on the information provided by the restaurant when making their food choices.

    I came here with my 4 month old and wanted to bring in a bassinet and was told that’s not allowed I have gone to multiple restaurants one of them being moxies a restaurant where you would think they would make a fuss about it and they don’t. They didn’t even try to accommodate me to move me to another table I’m guessing their biggest reason was because of the robot but again not enough to stop a mother from bringing in their bassinet. We initially bought him in a car seat was he started to get extremely fussy we had to leave as this place didn’t even bother to accommodate us!

    They are having a “fun little competition” to get Google Reviews, which I suspect is why the rating is so high. I found a hair in my food, the pumpkin pie was cold and dry, and the robot server is not only stupid (it tried leaving before all the food was served), but it loudly plays YouTube copyright free music. Very mid restaurant best enjoyed if you like mild Thanksgiving-style dinners with a side of side eye from old men.

    Mary was our server this evening, she was fantastic! Very attentive and pleasant. We had the festive dinner and children’s pizza followed by some delicious pieces of pie! All was great and we will be back!

    I am writing this in hopes that management can address some severe operational issues. We are long-time Swiss Chalet fans who are transitioning to this location due to the Ancaster closure, but last night's visit was very disappointing. The restaurant appeared severely understaffed with only three servers working, including our own server who did not seem fit to work. Meanwhile, the hostess was stretched incredibly thin trying to serve, clean, and manage the floor by herself.Our server took our entire drink and food order at the start, and then completely disappeared for the rest of our visit. We waited over an hour for our entrees with no communication from her, only for our food to ultimately be brought out by a robot server. It felt incredibly cold and impersonal. If a machine is doing the heavy lifting while our actual server is completely absent, it makes me wonder: why am I being asked to tip? The only other time we saw our server was at the very end when she asked if we needed takeout containers. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the restaurant was neglected—the restrooms were poorly maintained, tables were left unbused, and there was garbage left under alot of the tables. While another staff member did eventually apologize for the wait and say they were busy, the restaurant was actually quite dead. I have seen this location completely full in the past with excellent service, so blaming the hour-long delay on being "busy" felt like a poor excuse and was frankly offensive to hear given how quiet the dining room actually was. We hope to have a better experience next time, as we would love to keep supporting Swiss Chalet.
