This location used to be so good until recently. The owner got rid of any employee that wasn’t from India like her which is not right. All the employees here are so rude and lazy every time. I went in a few nights ago and the girl working told me she’s closing 15 mins early and had her boyfriend waiting for her at a table. I suggest you go to another subway this location is not good anymore.

Poor Food Quality and Unprofessional Customer Service – Subway, 651 Upper James St., Hamilton I ordered two Veggie Patty subs—one with extra vegetables and extra sauce, and one regular. Unfortunately, both sandwiches were extremely disappointing. The bread was dry, hard, and stale, making the sandwiches unpleasant to eat. In addition, both subs had very limited vegetables and barely any sauce. The sub that was ordered with extra sauce received even less than a standard portion. As someone familiar with Subway’s preparation standards, I know that the standard sauce portion is three passes, while an extra sauce request should receive four passes. My sandwich did not even receive one full pass of sauce. Combined with the dry, hard bread and the lack of vegetables, the sandwiches were extremely dry and nowhere close to Subway’s quality standards. I called the store to report the issue. The employee I spoke with immediately denied that there was any problem. Instead, he explained that because “it’s too hot for everyone,” they only put one thin line of hot sauce. This explanation does not justify ignoring the customer’s order or Subway’s standard portioning procedures. When I asked for his name during the phone call, he refused to provide it, stating that there was no rule requiring him to tell customers his name. He then offered to remake my sandwich if I came to the store. When I arrived at the restaurant, the experience became even more disappointing. The employee was not wearing a Subway uniform, apron, or name tag. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience or remaking my sandwich as promised, he argued with me about his own method of preparing sandwiches. I explained that Subway’s standard sauce portion is three passes, four passes for extra sauce, and that current Subway procedures require sauces to be applied beneath the vegetables rather than on top. Rather than accepting the feedback or attempting to resolve the issue, he continued defending his own technique instead of following Subway’s standards. Only after a lengthy discussion and after repeatedly refusing to acknowledge any mistake did he finally provide his name. Despite promising over the phone to prepare a fresh replacement, he never remade my sandwich, nor did he apologize for the inconvenience. The entire interaction was unprofessional. The poor food quality, including the dry, hard bread, lack of vegetables, and insufficient sauce, along with the refusal to initially identify himself, failure to wear the required Subway uniform, apron, and name tag, unwillingness to follow Subway’s food preparation standards, and failure to honor his promise to remake my order made this the worst experience I have ever had at a Subway restaurant. I request that this incident be thoroughly investigated and that appropriate action be taken. I would also appreciate a resolution regarding the poor-quality food I received and the unacceptable customer service I experienced. Employee involved: Shalok

Ordered a club sub today. Almost all the veggie toppings in the toppings table were frozen. I had to ask them to remove the frozen veggies from my sandwich and replace with fresh. The girl was extreely skimpy with what toppings she did give me. Won't be back to this location and it's very close to me.
