    I would love the option to pick up at the drive-through which I did last night because there was no one in the drive-through and I thought it would save somebody having to come outside. Plus, it’s my fault if I get into the drive-through line and I have to wait a while. You could offer it as an option with a note. Be prepared to wait if there are other cars in the drive-through. All I had to do was give my name when I got to the speaker

    My Baba and I ordered a salad to share. The staff were so thoughtful that when it was brought to our table, it had double the chalet dressing - in separate cups! Thank-you to Julia and the whole staff for providing an excellent dining experience.

    I can’t begin to explain how caring, attentive, and amazing Heather and the team here are! They do the most to make your visit enjoyable and fulfilling, really feeling like family dining. The food is always timely and amazing, and the attentiveness is incredible! They really make you feel at home. Me and my family love dining here, and will continue to favour visiting here due to the exceptional service and food!

    We had a wonderful family dinner tonight. The staff at the Cobourg location were fantastic! Very pleasant, friendly and smiling! Jamie was our server and she was great. The food was delicious. As always! The only thing I would say, is that I wish they had more booster seats available for kids. They only have 2 and the buckle on the one we got was broken, leaving it not the safest for a busy toddler. But overall, we had a great experience ☺️

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Service from JAYILYN AND Jack at Swiss Chalet in Cobourg I want to take a moment to recognize two outstanding employees at Swiss Chalet in Cobourg: Jack and Jaiylin. I’ve had the pleasure of being served by Jaiylin three times, and most recently I also had the opportunity to experience Jack’s service. Both of them left such a positive impression that I felt they deserved to be recognized together. Jack was exceptional from the very beginning. When I introduced myself by my first name, he responded, “It’s a pleasure to meet you,” and actually shook my hand. That may seem like a small gesture, but it genuinely stood out to me. In all my years of dining out, I can’t remember another server taking the time to acknowledge me personally in that way. Jack was extremely polite, friendly, professional, and attentive. What impressed me most was that his attention to detail extended beyond just my table. I watched how he interacted with other customers and worked with the rest of the staff, and he consistently demonstrated the same willingness to help and positive attitude. At the end of his shift, a supervisor asked him to take on another table. Even though his shift was essentially finished, Jack stepped up without hesitation and took on the additional responsibility. There was no complaining or hesitation — he simply helped his team and continued providing excellent service. Jaiylin demonstrated many of those same qualities. She is incredibly friendly, approachable, and always smiling. She took the time to speak with both me and my daughter and made us feel genuinely welcome. She is one of those people who is simply easy to talk to, and her personality brings a great energy into the restaurant. What impressed me particularly about Jaiylin was how much she supported the entire team. She wasn't just focused on her own tables. When other servers were tired or falling behind, she stepped in, picked up the slack, and helped keep things moving. You could see that her coworkers appreciated her, and her positive attitude seemed to lift the people around her. Between Jack and Jaiylin, I honestly don't know who I would prefer to have as my server. They are both exceptional in their own ways, but they share something very important: professionalism, kindness, teamwork, attention to detail, and genuine friendliness. They also demonstrate something that can’t simply be taught through a training manual — they genuinely care about the people around them. They care about their customers, their coworkers, and the experience they create for everyone in the restaurant. Swiss Chalet is a casual restaurant, but the level of professionalism these two demonstrated is anything but ordinary. I believe both Jack and Jaiylin should be recognized by management for their work and considered for future leadership opportunities. Whether that means management, training, or potentially even roles at a higher organizational or head-office level, I believe they have qualities that could make them valuable leaders within the organization. If I were a manager, these are exactly the types of employees I would want to keep, recognize, and help develop. Jack and Jaiylin — thank you both for making my experience at Swiss Chalet such a positive one. You represent the kind of customer service, teamwork, and professionalism that makes people want to come back. I sincerely hope management and Swiss Chalet recognize what they bring to the restaurant.
