    Review Date June 26 2026 5:30 am. This review has been a long time coming. Management needs to UP the staffing in the critical time of the morning ( 5:00am-8:30am!!) You know....when throngs of people are hitting a drive thru before work! I was there this morning and usually it is not packed- it was. Since Covid they have become a " one trick pony" at the loudspeaker. One order taken......wait minutes in silence....next order taken....wait minutes in silence. It is PAINFUL. Why even have two loudspeakers when they only speak to one customer at a time ( and with minutes of silence in between) I have been there at 5:00am and there is a younger long haired/ bearded dude with glasses and he is a FANTASTIC worker. Has " it" down/ very cordial and very efficient. I hope he doesnt leave. Maybe he should mentor other newbies that start....maybe mentor the management that do not realize the pain that goes on there in the morning. It seems when they take one single order in the drive thru, the minimal staff go into convulsions. I'm thinking its only two workers at this time of the morning.....1- cook and 1- window person. RAMP UP please or you will be losing more customers. As for myself ? I waited for probably 7 minutes in silence ( along with the person at the other speaker) this morning, and then simply drove off as I heard faintly " are you collecting points?". I'm "collecting" my thoughts on where else to get a breakfast sandwich next... Just give me a " will be right with you" or something. OR...for what they cost....have a few egg mcmuffins on the griddle ready to go to speed the process. Prices increase/ wait times increase/ frustration increases/staffing decreases. Would it kill the Owners to beef up one person in the morning ???? That was the last straw for me. The most counter-productive place in Caledonia by far. Dah-dah-dah-DAH-DAH>>>>" I'm NOT Lovin' it". Bye-eeeeeee......

    Here’s the complete review with all of your points incorporated: ⭐☆☆☆☆ 1 Star Copy this one-paragraph version: I visited this McDonald’s 282 Argyle Street South, Caledonia on June 5, 2026, between approximately 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. because the drive-through line was extremely long. Unfortunately, the experience inside was even more frustrating. There were approximately 7–10 employees visible from where I was standing, possibly more that I could not see, yet nobody appeared to be assigned to the front counter or cash register. Several customers had already paid and were waiting for food. I waited at the register and eventually asked an employee standing closest to the front counter if he could take my order because I wanted to pay cash. He shook his head and said, “No, sorry.” A short time later, another employee confirmed that customers can still pay cash at the register, which made the situation even more confusing. My frustration was that without someone available to take cash payments, my order could not be completed, while customers using kiosks or other payment methods could continue placing orders ahead of me. While waiting, I witnessed another customer complain directly to staff that the wait was taking far too long before leaving frustrated. An older gentleman’s ice cream cones were already starting to melt by the time he received them. A family with three children also received the wrong order and had to wait longer for it to be corrected. The reason many of us came inside was because the drive-through was backed up, yet it seemed that in-store customers were receiving very little attention. When I left, there were still approximately 12 vehicles waiting in the drive-through. The issue was not that employees were working hard. The issue was organization, communication, and the lack of anyone available to assist customers paying cash at the front counter. Very disappointing experience. McDonald’s should ensure that someone is available to serve front-counter customers, especially when cash payment remains an option.

    It’d be nice if the employees were aware that after orders are placed, you’re supposed to also make them. Waiting for 20 minutes for a pre-placed order is ridiculous. Your employees even made a comment about how many managers were in that day. Do none of the managers there know that they’re also supposed to work? Laziness and stupidity all around in that store. It’s pathetic.
