I had a very disappointing experience at this Mucho Burrito location. I placed a Buy One Get One Free order through Uber Eats and went to the store to pick it up. The Uber Eats app only allows a limited selection of toppings and doesn’t include all of the salsa options, so I politely asked if they could add a little extra sauce. Instead of helping, the owner told me that if I wanted extra sauce, I would have to remove some of the other toppings. He then said, “You only paid for one burrito. I’m paying out of my own pocket for the second one.” I found that comment completely unprofessional. If a restaurant chooses to participate in promotional offers, customers should not be made to feel guilty for using them. Promotional costs are part of doing business, and it is not appropriate to tell customers that the owner is personally paying for their food. To make matters worse, I also purchased a drink separately in the store and paid for it. When I asked about it, the owner went back to check the receipt as though I was trying to get it for free. That was frustrating because I had already paid for it. If this location does not want to honour promotional offers with good customer service, they should reconsider participating in those promotions instead of making customers feel uncomfortable for using them. Customer service costs nothing, but today’s experience left a very poor impression. Save yourself the disappointment.
