Thai Express is a chain, so there's an expectation of consistency. Most people don't come here for authentic Thai; there are plenty of good options for that. You come because you know what you're getting with the brand and logo. I ordered the General Thai, no modifications. This location misses completely on flavour, texture and quality. Mostly batter, very little chicken inside. I wasn't going to write a review. I don't like to complain, and when an experience is this bad I usually just stop going. But then I noticed a handful of 5 star reviews that read like bot or paid reviews…no mention of the visit, no mention of what was ordered, nothing to justify the rating, while the rest of the community is saying the opposite. So this is my due diligence to keep the score honest. When someone sees Thai Express pop up on their navigation screen, the rating should reflect reality. Steer clear until honest change occurs.

I wanted to say that I was very excited to try the one in Brockville as I do enjoy this chain. This location is absolutely awful for their food. Next to no flavor and I asked for spicy which was also non existent. Will definitely not be going to this location ever again.

Tried to give them a chance and went a couple times since it opened because I was so excited it was coming to Brockville. I can deal with slow service if the food is good, and they are still learning, the staff are great but the owner is rude. They accidentally made a pad Thai when I walked in and placed it on the back counter. 40 minutes later when getting my order, they tried to give us the pad Thai they made earlier. I kindly asked for a new one to be made and he tried telling me it was just made. I let him know I've been here for 40 minutes and watching the interaction of the order when it was accidentally made. The lovely staff member asked him to make me a new one, and was trying to get him to throw it out the whole time. He finally agreed but the whole time he kept making rude comments about making customers happy, and being sarcastic about how "fresh" this one was. The whole interaction was so uncomfortable.

Absolutely terrible service. I waited 10 minutes just to be acknowledged, then another 5 minutes for someone to take my order, despite there being nobody else in line. I then waited an entire hour for my food. 40 minutes into waiting, I was told they were out of the dumplings I ordered and was offered chicken wings instead. When I declined and asked for a refund, the manager got annoyed. When I asked how much longer my order would take, he told me he wasn’t going to give me my order and would just give me a refund instead. I told him that was ridiculous, and he slammed his hand on the counter and yelled at me. The manager was also incredibly rude to other customers, several of whom were frustrated with the wait times as well. Terrible service, terrible communication, and an even worse attitude.
