  I honestly don’t like writing negative reviews, but this experience was so bad that I feel it needs to be addressed. My son and I stopped off to have lunch at Thai express in the the georgian mall in Barrie. The food was absolutely horrible—bland, tasteless, and I've never seen those size vegetables, even those type of vegetables in this dish. Looks like they're just cut up whatever just to make it look like there is stuff in there. Unacceptable and extremely disappointing. This was nothing like the quality I would expect from Thai Express. The service was just as bad. The server was rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in hearing our concerns. What was especially frustrating was seeing two completely separate dishes cook together and served, Which was done simply out of laziness and convenience. When I questioned the server about it and explained that this was not acceptable, I was told that it was “perfectly fine.” No—it was not. Instead of acknowledging the problem or trying to correct it, my concerns were simply dismissed. I’ve since looked at other reviews and noticed that I’m certainly not the only customer complaining about poor food and service. At some point, management needs to take these complaints seriously and actually address the problems. This was one of the worst Thai Express experiences I’ve ever had. Bad food can happen, but when you combine bad food with rude service and a complete lack of concern for the customer, it becomes unacceptable. I will not be returning to this location, and I would strongly think twice before spending your money here.

  Unfortunately they have changed ownership for a while and the new owner has changed the recipes and is cheeping out on ingredients. Bought a pad see we came with no egg no veggies so just noodles and sauce that was made thinner with a lot of oil. Was disgusting. Won't be going back until the old owner is back in charge.

  The food was decent, but the staff do not know how to accommodate dietary needs/preferences (despite having dietary options listed on their menu). I ordered the vegan Pad Thai (an option explicitly listed on their menu) and they didn’t seem to even understand what I was asking for, and it came without tofu, and with egg in it. I do not know if they are more diligent or better trained with regards to their other options (such as their gluten free options) but if I was a celiac or had some other food allergy I would not trust them to properly accommodate it. Steer clear if you have any dietary restrictions.

  Service was 10/10 but the food was meh. I ordered the vegan option- pineapple tomato stir fry with tofu. They were out of tomato. There was barely any pineapple and there were no green onions. They ran out of limes. The tofu was very oily. There was egg in my food. I ordered it with a couple of modifications which they did perfectly. Staff was very polite. I did go back about the egg and staff went over and above to make a new one and remembered my modifications and did so with a good attitude and prompt service. I had to go back and ask for something else and again had good services and just wish food was more aligned with other locations for continuity of expectations.
