    I am beyond disappointed with my experience ordering from Swiss Chalet. I placed an order online for delivery, yet after the confirmation went through, it somehow changed to pickup. I don't drive, so picking it up was never an option. I immediately tried calling the store over 20 times. Not once did anyone answer the phone. I then contacted the call centre, and they attempted to transfer me to the store three separate times. Every single transfer resulted in the store either not answering or hanging up before I could even explain the situation. The only solution I was offered was to cancel the order and place a new one, with the refund taking 5–7 business days. That is completely unacceptable. Not everyone can afford to have money tied up for a week just because your system made an error. I certainly can't afford to pay for the same meal twice. To make matters even worse, when the store did answer briefly, they didn't even give me a chance to speak before disconnecting. The complete lack of customer service was shocking. A technical issue can happen. Ignoring your phones, refusing to communicate, and leaving a customer with no food and no access to their money is a failure of customer service. I won't be ordering from this location again, and I certainly won't recommend it to anyone.

    We ordered a meal for delivery but somehow it got changed in the system to pickup. We attempted more than a dozen times to try to rectify the situation but the restaurant wouldn't pick up. When attempting to go through the ordering line to fix the issue, three separate people all were unable to help and transferred our calls to the restaurant which still wasn't answering. Eventually we got the order canceled and we got no food and a lot of aggrevation. The customer service is an absolute travesty and I suggest you eat elsewhere...

    Swiss Chalet is one of our go-to restaurants. Overall, food & service are good. Hubby loves the double leg dinner. 🙂 Tonight, we’ve been served by Wendy and she’s one of the nicest servers. She’s very sweet too with our little one. 🥰

    Linda was our server for lunch today -- my sister and grandparents have been coming to this location for years, we were all together. Linda always made sure we were taken care of, she had this wonderful way of making us all feel comfortable and added such a positive energy to everything, she put a smile on all of our faces and made sure our experience was amazing. 5 Stars for Linda, thank you again for brightening the day! :)

    I don't even know where to start... we made a reservation for 34 people in a private area. We were surprised to find that the restaurant only booked one person to serve the entire party. The poor guy put up a valiant effort, but there was just no way he could be expected to keep up alone. The wait just to get drinks was over an hour long. We could've walked down to the lake, scooped out a pot of water, boiled it and brought it back before everyone got their drinks. The wait for food was an even worse disaster. Four people left to go home to make dinner themselves after waiting two hours without even getting a chance to place their orders. At one point my 86 year old grandmother pulled an Ensure Meal Replacement shake out of her purse and started drinking it just to stay alive. The rest of the party started lining up to see if my grandmother had any extra meal replacement shakes they could have to keep their bodies from going into ketosis. At one point two people from the party went to the back of the building to the takeout window to place their orders and brought their bags back to the table. Not only did the restaurant have the server working a massive group of tables alone, they also had him making the drinks himself. I'm actually surprised they didn't also have him hunting the chickens and driving the truck to drop off home delivery orders in between serving tables... in fact, maybe they did. The food was cold when we got it, but with how cheap the restaurant seems to be when it comes to hiring staff, who knows if they even have cooks. It's possible that everything was just served straight out of the fridge. Props to the server who did the best he could with the bad hand he was dealt. It was a totally wild experience, and I hope the pennies they saved through understaffing were worth it, as I can't imagine any of the 34 people who made it through this horrific meal will ever visit this location again. We are survivors and will share a lifelong bond through the trauma we experienced during tonight's outing at Swiss Chalet. The chalet sauce was real good though.
