I moved to Angus in early 2024, and every single time I attempt to pick up dinner for my family from this Swiss Chalet location on my way home from work — typically around 8:00–8:30 PM — they never have chicken breast available. This is not a one-time occurrence. This has been an ongoing and consistent issue since moving to the area, and it is extremely frustrating. Considering the restaurant is still open for approximately another hour at that time, it is completely unacceptable that such a core menu item is repeatedly unavailable. What makes this even more disappointing is that I have never experienced this issue at any other Swiss Chalet locations across the GTA, even as close as 10 minutes before closing. This appears to be a location-specific operational problem involving poor inventory planning, inadequate staffing, lack of training, or insufficient management oversight. Customers should not have to repeatedly gamble on whether basic menu items will be available during normal operating hours. Management needs to take accountability and implement proper staffing, training, inventory management, and customer service standards to ensure customers are not continually inconvenienced. At this point, after experiencing the same issue over and over again, it has become unacceptable Restaurant etiquette.

Glad I saw the state of the washrooms before ordering food. All bathrooms nasty, no paper towel, staff was in the women's before us and didn't flush. If they don't clean the public facing parts how bad is behind the counter.

I ordered loaded pierogis and a poutine with roasted chicken. The pierogis missed the sour cream and green onions and the chicken on the poutine hasn't been separated meaning I had 3 big pieces of meat instead of bite sized chicken. The pierogis were delicious even if a part of the toppings were missing.

I don't know why, but I've come here several times only to be told "we're out of chicken," and it keeps happening. I can't explain how or why this can happen in a Swiss Chalet, especially on Saturdays. I think someone should have a briefing with their staff 😉 Otherwise, when there's chicken, it's great lol
