We went to Kelseys tonight to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and Ashley was absolutely amazing! She was honestly the #1 part of our experience. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly friendly, welcoming, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening.
Ashley went above and beyond to make my mom’s birthday dinner feel special. She was professional, patient, always checking on us at the right time, and had such a positive and genuine attitude. The food was great, but the service from Ashley is what really made our night memorable.
Thank you, Ashley, for taking such great care of us and helping make my mom’s birthday celebration so enjoyable. Kelseys is lucky to have you! We’ll definitely be back. ❤️🎂
Ashley, you’re truly #1! ⭐️

This was my first time at Kelseys Original Roadhouse and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was served hot and ready. The nachos was lovely and fresh but our personal favourite was the chocolate lava cake it was absolutely fantastic and had the costumers service match the food quality. Jermett was one of the exceptional worker that had served me and my friends Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was taken care of without being overbearing. The service was quick, professional, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Overall as one of the first Kelsey’s it was great and would definitely recommend family and friends alike to come and eat here
The food was delicious! We started off with the four cheese, spinach dip With the fried pita triangles. Great way to start the dining experience.
Were the main entrée we had the roadhouse pork schnitzel topped with creamy mushroom gravy and a side of broccoli and mashed potatoes. Best pork schnitzel I've had in a very long time.
Our waitress, Jermett, was very friendly & accommodating especially with our multiple questions related to food, allergies. Overall, a lovely dining experience.
We sat in the bar area as they were a lot of children making a lot of noise in the dining area. That was the only downside to the atmosphere.
We have been regular customers of the Ajax Kelseys location for the past several years and have always enjoyed bringing friends and family there, whether for a casual meal or to celebrate special occasions. Unfortunately, our experience last evening was so disappointing that I felt it was important to bring it to your attention.
We had invited two of our cousins for dinner and drinks at the Ajax location. As we were being seated, we noticed what appeared to be a large office gathering of approximately 35 people.
Our waitress was extremely pleasant, courteous, and apologetic throughout the evening. She took our order promptly, and our drinks and a tray of nachos arrived—except for my Bloody Caesar. She came over with a glass of water and explained that the bartender was extremely busy preparing drinks for the large group while also helping with other kitchen duties, so my drink would be delayed. We appreciated her honesty and thoughtfulness.
Unfortunately, that was the beginning of a very disappointing meal.
The nachos, which are usually one of our favourite items at Kelseys, looked nothing like what we have come to expect. They were very sparse, with minimal cheese, beans, and jalapeños, and instead were covered with a thick layer of shredded iceberg lettuce. We were genuinely disappointed. Our cousins even commented that we should have gone to Amici’s instead, where the nachos are generously topped with actual ingredients rather than lettuce.
When our entrées arrived, my Bloody Caesar still had not. I ordered my usual Chicken Caesar Salad, which I have enjoyed many times before. The lettuce was soft, warm, and clearly not fresh, with several leaves that were blackened and wilted around the edges. The chicken was cold, chewy, and unappetizing. I pointed this out to our waitress, who immediately apologized and kindly offered to replace it. I declined because I suspected the replacement would be made from the same batch of lettuce. She very graciously removed the salad from our bill, for which I was appreciative.
My Bloody Caesar eventually arrived and was actually very good.
Sadly, the rest of the table was equally disappointed with their meals. I noticed both of our cousins left nearly half of their food uneaten and didn’t even want to take it home. I tasted a piece of chicken from the Thai Chicken Rice Bowl, and it was excessively sweet, overcooked, and very chewy.
Before leaving, I asked our waitress whether there had been a change in management or in the kitchen. She mentioned she was fairly new and wasn’t sure about management, but confirmed there was no manager on duty that evening because Tuesdays are usually quieter. She also mentioned that a couple of the chefs had recently changed.
What made the evening especially disappointing was that we had chosen Kelseys because we have always enjoyed our experiences there and wanted our cousins to do the same. Instead, we found ourselves apologizing to them at the end of the meal. They were very gracious, but one comment summed up the evening perfectly: “We feel bad that your money was wasted.”
This wasn’t simply one dish that missed the mark—it felt like there was a noticeable decline in the overall quality of the food. While we truly appreciated the professionalism and kindness of our waitress, she simply couldn’t compensate for what came out of the kitchen.
As long time loyal customers, we felt it was important to bring to management’s attention.
We visited Kelsey’s on July 23rd. We got a table pretty quickly, but unfortunately, the service after that was very disappointing.
We waited around 15 minutes before our server, Justin, came to take our order. She brought our drinks and food, but the food was served without any cutlery. After that, we waited almost 35 minutes just to get water. We reminded her a couple of times, but it was difficult to even get her attention or make eye contact, as she seemed focused on serving two larger tables that had arrived after us.
We also wanted to order another round of drinks and asked her to repeat the order back to us. However, the drinks never came. After some time, she came back and asked if everything was okay, seemingly having forgotten that we had ordered more drinks.
The food was disappointing as well. We ordered wings, and they were extremely oily and not enjoyable.
To make things worse, when we received the bill, there was an extra pitcher added that we had not ordered. If I hadn’t carefully checked the bill, I would have ended up paying for something we never received.
Overall, it was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. We completely understand that restaurants can get busy and staff can be under pressure, but if there aren’t enough experienced serving staff available to properly take care of the guests, please don’t continue seating more tables. It’s better to have guests wait a little longer for a table than to seat them and leave them waiting for basic service.
We came here expecting to have a good meal and enjoy our time, but unfortunately, the lack of service, forgotten orders, poor food quality, and incorrect billing made this a very unpleasant experience.
