I was excited when I saw that chipotle opened up so close to me in Ajax and went there for the first time today, October 3rd 2026 at 5:20pm, the lady making the food did not want to be there, seemed annoyed anytime I asked a simple question. I asked her if I could make two of the tacos same and one different and I had to repeat myself because it seemed like she was zoning out while making the food. She never smiled once, asked how we are, just seemed like she didn’t want to be there. I had to ask for extra meat on the taco, the portions were really small, I can live with the food portion being small since this location just opened up and they are still being trained, but it’s hard to forget poor customer service. I was so baffled by the lack of customer service I had to pull over and write this less than 20 min after leaving the store. I may come back one more time in a couple weeks to try this again but after that second experience, if nothing has improved, I will continue going to one of the other locations that are further away.

Having lived in the states having chipotle often there and finding out opened up on Durham decided to go only to have had such dry customer service. The employee prepping food black lady acted as if she’s so frustrated making food. I am totally understanding can be a tiring job but upon asking her a question about the beans she rolled her eyes. Very rude. Not a single smile or greeting to any of the customers coming in. Also the portion size was incredibly little like half the bowl was empty for 20 bucks. The staff is definitly not trained right and not meeting standard of what chipotles known for; owner should really consider this as people are trying it first time for opening and these experiences will deter them from coming again. A waste of 20 bucks to be honest. Very disappointed tonight, I wouldn’t have mind even if portion size was little but customer service experience overall ruined it

Very taken aback by the level of disorganization at this location. The customer service was disappointing from the moment we walked in. We stood in line for about 10 minutes, and during that time, the staff working at the front were throwing away perfectly usable bowls for no apparent reason. I counted at least five bowls being thrown out while we waited. When it was finally our turn, there was no greeting, eye contact, or basic customer service — I was simply asked, “What do you want?” Unfortunately, the food was just as disappointing. The sour cream was extremely runny, the rice was overcooked, and the portion of chicken was incredibly small — I was given maybe two pieces. I also ordered guacamole, but instead of receiving properly prepared guacamole, I was given what looked like half of a whole avocado slice that I essentially had to mash myself. I completely understand that a newly opened location is going to have some hiccups, and I’m always willing to give a new business some grace. However, it genuinely seemed like the majority of the staff had either not received proper training or simply weren’t interested in providing good service. Out of the approximately 15 staff members I saw, only one girl greeted us at the cash and actually spoke to us. That was honestly astonishing. After reading through the other reviews, it’s clear we weren’t the only customers who experienced similar issues. Spending nearly $40 on a meal here was extremely disappointing, especially when the food wasn’t enjoyable and left me with an upset stomach afterward. Hopefully, the management takes the feedback seriously and provides the staff with better training and direction. For now, I’d recommend going to the Pickering or Whitby location instead.

Hi Chipotle Team, I recently visited your new location that opened near my place and ordered a veggie bowl. I was really disappointed with the portion size I received. I’ve ordered veggie bowls from other Chipotle locations before, and the portions have always been much more generous. At this location, there were barely any veggies in my bowl. What made it even more frustrating was that the customer next to me ordered a steak bowl and received about the same amount of veggies that I did, even though I specifically paid for a veggie bowl. I don’t mind paying for the meal, but I do expect the portions to be consistent across locations and to match what a veggie bowl is supposed to include. This experience was disappointing, especially for a brand-new location. I hope you can look into this and ensure better consistency in the future.

Full Review Summary: Decent quality burrito bowls (just like any other location) BUT lack of quantity + underwhelming ratio size, and also very flawed and unhappy customer service. Full Brutally Honest Review: Although I love eating Chipotle burrito bowls and very happy to finally have one near my home, unfortunately, there are several problems with the customer service and food quantity plus ratio/size. Although quality is decent and almost like any other location (and the fact it just open recently), only issue is they do not give you enough serving of the meat, rice or hell even the toppings to go all loaded which is just disappointing and generally too little for a burrito bowl serving. Customer service is very flawed where they don’t care enough to do their jobs which is well quite concerning especially given they just open. I pray one day this location can improve even if the first days seem rough so far, which I feel dissapointed and a bit underwhelmed which is sad. Still happy to enjoy the decent food but would have been better if customer service and quantity per bowl is accurate and balance enough to improve and be more successful.
