Ordered paneer tikka masala, it was so sweet and definitely had food color to make it look red/orange! Daal makhani was also tasteless and not authentic at all.. not visiting again!

The food was DELICIOUS!!! 10/10. I will for sure bring friends here. And the service was awesome! Our waiter was friendly, checked in regularly, brought my service dog water, and did an awesome job. Highly recommend!

Wow were my partner and I impressed by this recently opened Indian restaurant. We had never dined at the previous Indian establishment that occupied the lovely brick building on a prime location diagonally facing the Pacific Ocean. The interior is really elegant, with everything from the wallpaper to the upholstery to the china seemed special; the ambiance is quite unlike any of the other Indian restaurants in North County which tend to be more homey. We came here because another Indian place was closed, and we really ended up enjoying our experience. We had two classics, aloo gobi and malai kofta, with chili garlic and Peshwari naan. The dishes were fabulous, so flavorful. The medium spice level had some kick to it, and I say that as a Thai person! There were great details like the garnish of fresh paneer on the malai kofta, while the aloo gobi was actually savory. The naan were good, crispy, my Peshwari naan was a sweet one so I took it home to eat as a cookie later. My partner is vegetarian so we go to a TON of Indian and Nepali restaurants in the area, and suffice it so say I don’t take saying this lightly but this is my new favorite Indian place in North County, just with one visit. I know because I’m writing this review as I eat reheated leftovers lol. The absolute best part of our experience at lunch yesterday was getting to chat with the waiter, the son of the family who owns the restaurant. He was highly attentive and he even let me try a bite of something delicious off-menu to get my take! It was a pleasure to eat at this place. The vibes are really nice, the location is ideal, the service is friendly, informative and impeccably polite - but by far the biggest reason why we will be returning to Ticca Tikka was the taste of the food.

Jessie and Preed are great hosts, making us feel welcome everytime me and my work buddy come thru, the curry and tandoori they make is excellent, they stew the meat in the curry to tender perfection, I almost don't have to chew, the garlic naan is a must have side to any dish, they have more menu items I havent got to yet but I'll be coming back to try them

I had a very disappointing experience here. I placed my order 40 minutes in advance, but when I arrived, they had misplaced my ticket and hadn’t even started making the food. I had to wait an additional 20 minutes. To make matters worse, my order was incomplete—they forgot the garlic naan I paid for. The food itself was also not great. The curries were overly spicy to the point of being unpleasant and made me feel sick afterward. I also contacted customer service to try to resolve the issue, and that experience was just as frustrating. I was on the phone for about 20 minutes and did not receive a helpful resolution. The interaction felt unprofessional and did not reflect good customer service. Overall, this was not worth the $90 I spent. Between the disorganization, missing items, poor food quality, and lack of proper customer service, I wouldn’t recommend ordering from here. Edit in response to the owner: I understand the restaurant’s position, and I want to clarify my experience. I initially debated whether to say anything or request a refund at all, as it honestly didn’t feel worth the trouble. However, I decided to share my experience so others are aware, with the understanding that a refund is not being offered. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was informed that my ticket had been misplaced and had to wait an additional 20 minutes. When the food was finally handed to me, the staff member immediately rushed off, which did not give me an opportunity to address the delay or request any adjustment at that time. Regarding the spice level, I also want to clarify that it was not accurately represented. I ordered a medium spice level, and I have a relatively high spice tolerance, yet the food was still difficult to eat and caused discomfort afterward. This suggests that the spice levels may not be as clearly communicated or consistent as stated. This review reflects my personal experience, including the delay, missing item, and overall quality. I am simply sharing what occurred from my perspective so others can make an informed decision.
