  We had a great experience at Piper during our stay in Oceanside. It was so convenient having such a good restaurant right in the hotel. We ate there for dinner and also enjoyed breakfast for two mornings. The food was delicious every time - fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. It is a bit on the pricey side, but we booked our stay through Chase Travel with The Edit program, which included a $100 hotel credit that we used towards our dinner, and breakfast was included as well. That made the experience feel like an excellent value. Great atmosphere, tasty food, and very convenient if you’re staying at the hotel. Would definitely return!

  Loooved having breakfast here everyday during our stay. Book tables in advance - can get busy. And menu changes everyday depending on fresh sourcing I believe. Which is kinda cool. The people are really nice and warm and welcoming. I loved my morning lattes and "o'side breakfast" was ordered more than once over the days. They even had a special Sunday menu with cool new additions. Tried a strawberry cream hot latte for the first time here and I'm a convert. Simply awesome. Sit outside if you can

  I have to give some love to the hostess, I asked her name just for this review. Her name is Ellie and she was swamped with hungry patrons. She handled it like a boss. I watched her, bus and set tables, to get people sat. She continued to smile throughout the enormous amount of stress, I imagine she was under. Give that GEM a raise!

  Just left the restaurant and have never been served a more disappointing Cioppino. There were two shrimp, two mussels, one piece of octopus and a sliver of fish. There was about an inch of watery broth. It would hardly suffice as an appetizer, if it were even palatable. And it’s $45!!! Service was amazing though. Charlotte is the best.
