  Steven made the whole experience. He was friendly, on top of everything, and genuinely helpful without overdoing it. He gave great recommendations, checked in the right amount, and made us feel taken care of the whole time. The cocktails were also really good, definitely worth mentioning. Everything we had was well made, balanced, and actually tasted like care went into it. Food was solid too. We had the short rib sandwich, 101 burger, fried chicken sandwich, and Cubano, and everything was flavorful. But Steven was the reason this meal stood out. He was great.

  One of the only late night dining options in north county. Fantastic friendly service, great beer selection, and very tasty food. This place is full 5 stars no question. The owner knows what the heck they are doing. Very well run! Do you know how hard it is to find a place at 9:30/10pm to sit down to decent food in San Diego? Pretty much impossible outside select categories. I’ll be spending my money here as long as they keep up the late hours for the kitchen. It’s literally my new go to due to the hours and friendly service alone, and I live a solid 20-25 minutes away. People in town we go here. Any kind of event or special occasion, yep we are hitting mission Ave grill, because they are open late so it’s no rush. The staff here rocks, this is so not typical at most places these days. Just please never cut short the late kitchen hours, if that ever happens I’m gone.

  Had an excellent dinner at Mission tonight and couldn't be more impressed — both with the food and the service. We ordered the chicken burger and the 101 burger, intending to share. Without us having to ask, the staff took the initiative to split both sandwiches and plate them so that each of us had half of each burger on our own plate. That kind of thoughtful, attentive service is rare and genuinely made the experience special. The burgers themselves were fantastic — well-crafted, flavourful, and satisfying. A great find. Highly recommend Mission if you're looking for a spot that combines great food with service that actually pays attention to its guests. We'll definitely be back! Big thanks to Michael ! 😎

  Went in for lunch and the experience was superb! The food was great, cocktails were incredible, and the whole atmosphere was wonderful. What stood out the most, was the manager, Mike. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and provided us with great recommendations! I was impressed with the way he interacted with his employees and other guests… he made the whole energy of the place feel warm and enjoyable. Thank you Mike! We’ll definitely be back :)

The vibe hits that perfect balance between upscale whiskey lounge and laid-back neighborhood spot. Dim lighting, great music, and a bar that feels like it belongs in a whiskey lover’s dream. The food is just as impressive as the drinks. The Mission Burger and short rib grilled cheese are absolute standouts, and the wings are some of the best around. Everything tastes like it’s actually cooked with care, not just cranked out of a fryer like most bar food. Now let’s talk about the whiskey and cocktails. The selection is massive, and the bartenders clearly know what they’re doing. Whether you’re into classic pours or craft cocktails, they’ll point you in the right direction. Service is friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming. You get the feeling the staff actually enjoys working there, which makes the whole experience better.
