  This has always been my local Safeway and they used to have self check out but after waiting 1 hour in line (Yes 1 hour im not lying) I’ve decided to stop shopping here all together. I believe they don’t care about customers and checking by the other reviews I’m sure you ( the person that’s reading this ) 100% agrees I don’t want my review herd, I want action taken NOW.

  The self checkout registers are constantly talking and loud especially if they are all busy. You cannot check out without the machine asking you for you account phone number several times. We don't need to be told what to do constantly how to use the register.

  I don’t usually shop at Safeway, but a couple of times I’ve visited the one on Broadway in Oakland, and unfortunately, my experiences haven’t been great. During one visit, the cashier, Ronika Lewis, tried to intimidate me and ended up charging me twice for some meat that was actually 50% off. On top of that, she didn’t ask me if I wanted any bags, and when I checked my receipt, I saw I was charged for 4 bags, even though I only used 2! It felt like a dishonest attempt to overcharge, and the whole interaction left a bad taste. I’m not sure if I’ll be coming back anytime soon.
