I stopped by for what I hoped would be a nice lunch treat — I had fond memories of this place, but haven't been in over a decade. Instead these folks ruined my day by serving me, a vegetarian who hasn't had to digest animal flesh in 25 years, a samosa with chicken inside it. (Which was not even on the menu... who puts chicken in their samosa??) The samosas were doused in sauce and garbanzos, to which I attributed the "meaty" texture. So I unknowingly ate a whole samosa before discovering a chicken chunk that confirmed that texture did not come from the channa. Disgusted and literally sick to my stomach. Had never felt violated by a restaurant before. I had also ordered a small daal which for some reason was completely unseasoned; it was inedible. They charged me for the samosa anyway (after giving me veg samosa to go). I don't know what was going on in the kitchen but I will never return and I recommend all vegetarians and vegans and folks with food allergies steer clear. I can't remember the last time I had such a horrible experience when eating out.
