Good morning Safeway I was just doing Uber shop and deliver at your store 2870 I was having a hard time with my order because of your Wi-Fi ☺️ so when I got in line to pay for my Uber order probably at around 06:36 a.m. I went to your cashier Lavern. As I always do I notify the cashier that I had a Uber eats order and I was in hopes of some compassion for the lack of a decent Wi-Fi service mortar didn't go through we tried it again and I notified the cashier that I'm going to have to step to the side and call Uber so they can help with the situation. I got customer service online they told me to get back in line when I got back in line the cashier Laverne question me asked me several times did I do something different to fix the problem am I reply was I'm online with Uber eats customer service right now as we speak but she continued to drill me saying if it is nothing that I have done different she can't give me any service I again notified her that I'm online speakerphone with customer service and customer service said something along the lines of I can hear you and I am here to help. My complaint is being a large statute African-American man walking through the store I always feel a lot of eyes checking me out maybe it's just me. But I would appreciate it if the cashiers can have a bit of compassion when it comes to delivery drivers using their apps, in a store that has poor reception or poor Wi-Fi is very frustrating because I'm spending time making this message instead of dropping off my delivery. Thank you so much for understanding take care ☺️.

You have to scan a receipt just to get out of the store. The machine doesn't even work well so they have to pay someone to stand there and instruct people. Stupid

Definitely the worst Safeway location, the staff is very rude and lazy I had a couple bad experiences with my parents, the gentleman with the mustache person of the staff is always mean to them and scream at them even though they don’t speak English, we had to wait 20+ min for our pick ups don’t bother to ask for help from them because you’ll will not have any kind assistance from them since they always yapping. always have a bad attitude towards us i wouldn’t like to think is not a racial issue against us. There’s only one person who is very nice and very patient his name Andy the only person who will give assistance with no bad attitude.

It’s a large store, which is what I like. I know someone was complaining about the store being huge lol well that’s better than a small crowded one. I like how they have security at the store, I like the layout etc overall it’s way better than the one closest to me on San Pablo.

The building is a tomb that destroys network signal so if you want to use your Safeway app to scan coupons or at checkout...you can't 👍🏼. Need to send a text or make a call? Too bad 👍🏼. They have an anti-theft cart locking system that forces the wheels to stop if you walk out certain exits. You can't unlock it without a staff member. If you rode your bike (bike parking), or parked on the street...good luck getting your groceries. You'll have to either drag your dead weight cart half a block, or have a staff member watch your purchased goods while you walk your bike to an exit you're actually allowed to use. Your options for check out are: 1) self-checkout or 2) 15 items or less cashier counter. Safeway will not hire enough staff to have even one normal cashier open on a standard business day at noon. And don't forget: you can't purchase alcohol at self-checkout, so if you want a bottle of wine...don't 👍🏼.
