  Had the pad see you with chicken. Chicken was dry, the dish was sweet, and had a burnt flavor. The restaurant has the feel of a tourist spot. There are tons of better Thai places everywhere in the Bay.

  They suggested using a garage/parking lot bathroom instead, which felt degrading. I’m a person, not an inconvenience. The bathroom inside wasn’t even clean, so the strictness didn’t make sense.

  This place is where I learned to love Branzino. One reviewer touts he's had better Thai, and that the branzino was overcooked, but as is apparent with all other reviews, he's off the mark. I wonder if he's just disgruntled for some reason, because the food they serve is amazing. Clearly (and sadly) his "foodie" badge should not be worn.

  My partner and I had lunch at Farm House Kitchen Thai on Saturday, January 10, 2026. We made a reservation through Open Table for 1:15pm. This was our first time dinning at Farm House Thai in Oakland; over the years we’ve dined at more than a dozen Thai restaurants throughout the Bay Area and my partner and I are die-hard ‘Thai foodies.’ The service at Farmhouse Kitchen Thai was sorely lacking and the quality of the food did not meet the expectations of my partner and I. My partner ordered the Crispy Branzino and it was over cooked. She took one bite and asked the waitress to take it back and she ordered a second dish, Pad See You, and that dish barely had any Broccoli in it. Also, despite the fact that we sent back the Crispy Branzino because it was overcooked and tasted terrible, we still had to pay for it. We will never return to Farmhouse Kitchen Thai in Oakland. My partner and I LOVE Thai cuisine and we have vacationed in Bangkok, Thailand twice where we have had some of the most amazing Thai meals. There are far better Thai restaurants in the Bay Area including My Thai in San Rafael, Ben Thai Cafe on Nob Hill in San Francisco and several others in Palo Alto, San Jose and Berkeley. In addition, the food is wayyyyy over priced for what you receive as far as the lack of quality of the food and the poor customer service. With regard to the quality of the food, on a scale of 1-to-5 my partner and I rate Farm House Thai a 1.5; with regard to customer service, we rate Farm House Thai a 2; and with regard to the overall experience, e.g. quality of the food, customer service, ambiance, atmosphere and the price for the dishes on the menu, the rating is 2. Certainly, we will not return to Farmhouse Kitchen Thai. There are FAR BETTER choices throughout the Bay Area. If you’re looking for superior Thai Cuisine in the Oakland/Berkley area Praaw Thai on Gilman in Berkeley has amazing Thai Cuisine.
