  Oakland has a lot of decent Thai places, but most of them seem to follow the same playbook. While I haven't visited Daughter Thai enough to give it a definitive ranking—this was my first time ordering from it—I did enjoy the meal and am hopeful for future visits. Most importantly, the food had great flavor and the ingredients were of a good quality, definitely a step up from some other local places. Just keep in mind that when they say a dish is spicy—like the Pad Khua Kling I ordered—they mean it. I can't really comment on the atmosphere and service because I ordered takeout, but it seemed like a nice space. I'll be back.

  Without doubt, the best Thai food I've eaten in years - excellent menu, with old favorites and some surprising dishes, very good, friendly service, a relaxing but stylish environment, and the quality of every item was exceptional. A wonderful evening out, and well worth returning to again and again!

  I would eat anything from this menu, and I've always been an extremely picky eater. This place has me and my fiancee in a chokehold. We go every week. Try their Samosas w/ coconut curry or Pad Ka Pow !! So good ! Also they have oysters with a thai chili sauce right now, literally the best oysters I've ever had.. and I have eaten a lot of oysters! Kumamotos w/ their sauce are the best.. They are also such a sweet crew 💜 EAT HERE YOU WONT REGRET IT!!
