  Ridiculous they only have one lane open on weekdays with an old lady. Expecting her to work all by herself

  Friday night rush hour and only 2 registers open. Working your cashiers to death. Need to have more people on staff, there’s zero reason for people to wait 30 minutes to get checked out. It’s not that you’re short staffed, it’s because you don’t want to pay for more employees.

  Yuck, Beware : Opened a 5-lb bag of flour & found flour moths inside. There wasn’t a problem returning it.

  Feb 14th, this Safeway was PACKED with people. My register had 5 people in front of me. The Cashier, Brenda B, took 25 minutes to check out the 5 people in front of me. Brenda either no situational awareness that the store was busy or she didn't care because she treated the first two lady customers in her line as if they were catching up like old friends. If she was talking to the ladies, her hands weren't moving. Even after closing out the first lady she just kept talking and didn't start ringing up the next lady. This happened again and again. I get being friendly, but there was a long line at her register and Brenda clearly wanted to keep talking to everyone with her life story. Next came the 3 seperate mexican gentleman who had 2 items each, flowers/chocolates and it was very clear that none of them understood what she was saying because they didnt speak english. She didn't even know these people and she goes onto a rant about how expensive flowers are on Valentines day, why the florists charge so much extra on this day and the five days prior. She repeated her negative "fun facts" to each guy, each time and it was painfully awkward to watch because these gentlemen just wanted to pay and leave. Finally reaching the register I comment "Dang, that 25 minute wait line is crazy." Brenda B responds with "It wasn't 25 minutes, don't be over dramatic." That was really not the response I expected, to be spoke to with such disrespect or looked down. As soon as she started talking of course her hands didn't move. I reinarated it was a long wait and Brenda just wanted to keep arguing like this was some Facebook argument post online and that I didn't just wait 25 minutes just to get two items. I finally said "I just want to pay" to get her to stop talking and just do the basics of her job. She then had to leave the register to do something real quick. At this point I don't care about the disrespectful attitude and I don't even care if you're friendly. Learn some sense of urgency if each register has a long line over 5 people on a holiday or just stop being so selfish with disrespecting the customers time. We shouldn't be waiting on you because your treat your place of employment like some high school gathering.
