  Me and my boyfriend were craving Mediterranean and this was the only place open after 10pm. It was our first time trying and they made it unforgettable! Mike was so friendly and gave us great recommendations. Everything was amazing!! We got the chicken shawarma wrap, and chicken/beef kabob plates. This is our new favorite local spot forsure, thank you so much!!

  I ordered the Chicken Lula Wrap from Ara’s Shawarma and it was incredible. The chicken was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and wrapped with fresh veggies and sauces that balanced every bite. The portion was generous, the flavors were amazing, and the service was quick and friendly. Mike was super nice and really helped us out, which made the experience even better. Definitely one of the best wraps I’ve had. Highly recommend!

  Everyone who works here is pretty helpful! On my first time the cashier helped me with the menu and she suggested lamb chop plate. It was pretty good, the lamb chops were okay (too chewy for my preference) but overall a decent plate. I came back today to grab the hummus/ tortilla. Some of the best hummus I’ve had in north Hollywood. Definitely worth a try, I will be trying a different plate on my next visit!

  Ara’s Shawarma is quite a lovely place to be, whether you’re dining in and picking up a quick take out order, the folks here are always friendly, especially Mike he goes above and beyond to make sure you’re leaving here happy. The food is just as incredible as the service, I ordered the lamb chops and they were a perfect balance of meat/fat, I also tried the chicken lule that’s was seasoned well and juicy. Oh and they offer multiple sauces which is always a plus. As for the dessert, the chocolate strawberries was fresh and the chocolate was nice and warm.

  I recently visited this shawarma spot for the first time, and I’m genuinely impressed with how good the entire experience was from start to finish. I ordered the chicken breast plate, and it was easily one of the best versions I’ve had anywhere. The chicken was perfectly seasoned—flavorful without being overly salty—and cooked just right so it stayed tender and juicy. The portion size was generous, and everything on the plate tasted fresh, from the rice to the salad to the sauces. What really made the visit stand out, though, was the service. Mike, the server helping me, was fantastic. He greeted me with a warm welcome the moment I walked in and took the time to explain the menu without rushing me. He checked in at all the right times—attentive but never intrusive—and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. You can tell he genuinely cares about making the dining experience a good one. He made me feel like more than just another table. Staff members like him are a huge reason people keep coming back. The restaurant itself was clean, ambience is ok if I being honest , it could have been better like their other location at Encino . The food came out quickly, and Mike made sure nothing felt chaotic. Overall, this place definitely exceeded my expectations. Great food, great value, and exceptional service from Mike. I’ll absolutely be coming back—and I’ll be recommending it to anyone who loves a solid chicken shawarma plate done right.
