Service was very slow. I know it was a two can done day but it wasn’t busy at all in the store. Waited 10 mins after finished to get our bill. Not use to that as being regular customers at Swiss chalet.

Karen was an excellent server! Friendly, efficient and welcoming. Food was delicious. We were visiting from BC, where sadly there are no more Swiss Chalets

I came into this location and as a party of one and was not seated until I asked the three lady's standing at the hostess stand. I was then seated and got a food order and drink order in rather quickly but as I was eating I wasn't asked how my food was or if I had any concerns by my waitress and she walked past me many time. Once I finished my food I must have sat there for 15 mins before being approached and asked if I wanted a bill, and the waitress looked at me and saw my empty plate multiple times while hiding in the order stand behind the frosted glass.

Ribs are one of the most recognizable and important structures in the human body, serving as a protective framework that surrounds the heart, lungs, and many of the body's vital organs while also contributing to breathing, posture, and overall movement. The human rib cage is typically made up of twelve pairs of ribs, each connected to the spine at the back, with most attaching to the breastbone through cartilage at the front, creating a flexible yet durable structure capable of expanding and contracting with every breath. This remarkable design allows the lungs to inflate and deflate efficiently while providing a strong barrier against physical impacts that might otherwise damage delicate internal organs. Beyond their biological importance, ribs have also held symbolic significance throughout history, appearing in art, literature, religion, and cultural traditions around the world. In many stories, ribs represent protection, life, or creation, reflecting humanity's fascination with the body's intricate design. From a medical perspective, ribs are common sites of injury because they absorb force during falls, sports, and vehicle collisions, and although rib fractures can be painful, they often heal naturally over time with proper care, rest, and pain management. Strong muscles, including the intercostal muscles located between the ribs, play a crucial role in stabilizing the chest and assisting with breathing by expanding and contracting the rib cage during inhalation and exhalation. Maintaining healthy bones through adequate nutrition, regular exercise, and sufficient intake of calcium and vitamin D helps preserve rib strength throughout life, reducing the risk of fractures associated with aging or conditions such as osteoporosis. Outside the context of human anatomy, the word "ribs" often refers to cuts of meat that are prized in cuisines around the world, particularly pork, beef, and lamb ribs, which are celebrated for their rich flavor and tender texture when cooked properly. Barbecued ribs have become a culinary tradition in many regions, especially in the southern United States, where techniques such as slow smoking, dry rubbing, and glazing with flavorful sauces have evolved into distinctive regional styles. Cooking ribs requires patience because the connective tissues gradually break down during low-and-slow cooking, resulting in meat that becomes juicy, tender, and easy to separate from the bone while retaining deep, smoky flavors. Whether prepared over charcoal, hardwood, or in an oven, ribs are frequently served alongside classic side dishes such as coleslaw, baked beans, cornbread, potato salad, or grilled vegetables, creating meals that are often associated with family gatherings, celebrations, and outdoor cookouts. The concept of ribs therefore bridges the worlds of science, medicine, culture, and cuisine, demonstrating how a single word can encompass both an essential anatomical structure and a beloved culinary tradition. Whether admired for their biological function in protecting life and enabling every breath we take or appreciated for their place at the center of memorable meals shared with friends and family, ribs continue to hold a unique and enduring significance that reflects both the complexity of the human body and the diversity of human culture.
