True to standard, the restaurant is lovely and has some of the best ocean views. Inside a well as outside is gorgeous. Food was exceptional and I love that this restaurant serves liquor. Don't skimp on the desert.

Luxury attempt that fails to hit the mark. Had a wonderful date night here last week and the location is beautiful, centrally located at fashion island surrounded by ocean views and retail locations.. however menu felt limited, heavy shellfish, and not that many appetizers. Drinks were great but over priced for not using high shelf alch. Food took quite a bit of time and servers you could tell were all young working people not luxury dining since we left with a $350 for 2. 2 drinks, 2 apps, and 2 mains

A stunning restaurant! It’s worth going once or just up to see it. However, we found the service veryyyy slow (to be clear though the staff were very friendly and accommodating when orders were incorrect), the portions to be very small for the price and the cocktails to be underwhelming.

Disappointing Birthday Experience! We came here to celebrate our birthday, and while we appreciated that the staff knew it was my sister and I Milestones Birthday, we we’re disappointed that the restaurant charged us for the “birthday cookies” they sent out with candles- even though we declined dessert because (1) we had dessert ready for us at home and (2) our Martinis were our dessert. It felt misleading to be surprised with a charge for something we thought was a kind gesture. In addition, there is a 4%”mandate fee” added to the bill. It would have been nice to be informed about this upfront. Between the cookie charge and the added fee, it took away from what could have been a pleasant experience.

Eh… it’s all for esthetics and atmosphere. Let’s get into it. I’ve heard brunch is much better here. Which I’ll go to and rate that as well when I do. However this review is for the dinner. Upon walking in I was greeted immediately. The first table I was given was too small and uncomfortable for a party of 3. I asked to be moved and they did that without an issue. We ordered oysters, sweet potato fries, grilled jumbo shrimp appetizer for starters. They don’t have ranch. But the rosemary aioli was excellent that came with the fries. Oysters were very fresh. Served traditionally with lemon and Mignonette sauce. Definitely worth ordering. Grilled jumbo shrimp. I started to see a pattern here. Everything is charred. I mean yes the place is called a grill. However that doesn’t mean everything should be charred/burnt. Were the shrimp good? Nothing spectacular. Could make much better at home with little effort. Main courses. Salmon Filet mignon Burger The same is cooked medium. Again noticing a lot of char. However a good sized portion and seasoned well. Filet mignon. Burnt and almost un edible. Cooked medium rare though. But very charred/burnt on one side. Was going to send this back. But ended up cutting the entire side off that was burnt. Didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes for food as it was getting late. Sadly the star of the night was their burger. The burger is large in portion. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. Bread buttery and soft. Lettuce and tomato fresh as can be. This is a must order. Overall the service was amazing. Water was always filled. Always asked how the food was. And always checked up on in general. Atmosphere was fantastic. Obviously it’s the scenery/decor here that makes the place. And that’s why people come. So far though the food hasn’t impressed me. But as I said I’ll return for brunch and see how that goes and possibly upgrade my review. With that said would I recommend this place? Not for dinner no. Unless you just want to go to a cool aesthetically pleasing place to eat in. There is many other great options in the area. Food: average Decor: new and far above average Staff: amazing no issues Atmosphere: excellent Bathrooms: clean, no issues
