  Waited for 20 minutes past the reservation time. Nice waiter / but slooooowwwww kitchen and bar. Food came out cold. Food came out at different times for everyone, sides arriving 10 minutes after the main. Not acceptable for this price point. No presentation for food - again not ok for the price point. Margarita tastes like lemon water. Super uncomfortable outdoor bench seating. Butterscotch brûlée was amazing. Take your money and go to Morton’s or the like.

  I was excited to try this place. The ambiance is amazing and the set up is cool and hip. The server was very nice and we got our appetizers and cocktails fast and right away and we did not receive our food until an hour later and it was the end of the night. I can't believe we had to wait this long. I understand 20/30 minute wait for entree plates but ONE HOUR.! All this for the bill to be $300 dollars. Again I don't mind paying top dollar but an hour wait for my entree and my server was gone and another server took over smh.

  A gorgeous restaurant perched on the top floor of Restoration Hardware at Fashion Island, RH Ocean Grill offers sweeping ocean views in a bright, airy setting that feels both elevated and relaxed. The menu leans toward classic American fare with a strong seafood focus. Standouts include the lobster roll and the burger — both well-executed and satisfying. The food pairs nicely with the refined yet coastal atmosphere. Prices are on the higher end, and reservations are strongly recommended given its popularity (especially for lunch). It’s a perfect spot for people-watching and enjoying a memorable meal with a view.

  Came here with a few of our friends. The waitress who served us seemed just rude. We had ordered a few drinks and apps. We waited about a hour just for fries and when asking her about the wait time, she made it seem like it was just our fault then realized that it was her fault because she never even put them in. Food was pretty mediocre and extremely overpriced that it was pretty laughable. The only thing worth is just how beautiful the restaurant was and the view of the ocean. Definitely would not recommend coming here though for food. Maybe just grab drinks at most or take drinks to go and enjoy the rest of RH.

  This was our second visit to RH Ocean Grill. After our first experience, we honestly said “never again,” but we believe everyone deserves a second chance—so we came back for dinner with a group of six. Nothing was specifically bad, but I’m still giving this one star because I really hoped for more. As the saying goes: under-promise and over-deliver. Unfortunately, this felt like the opposite—over-promise and under-deliver. We tried a wide range of dishes: the petite filet, sea bass, steak frites, grilled shrimp, shrimp salad, and lamb chops. Everything was fine. Not bad. Just… not great. And for a restaurant at this price point, “fine” isn’t enough—especially when there are many comparable restaurants nearby delivering far better food and overall experiences. One note for diners: do not sit outside at night. The outdoor heaters cast a heavy red hue, which makes photos look awful. Not a dealbreaker on its own, but when you’re charging premium prices, every detail matters. And that’s really the core issue. When the check arrives, it’s expensive. Premium pricing should come with premium food, service, and ambiance. Unfortunately, RH Ocean Grill didn’t deliver on that expectation for us—again. I truly wanted this second visit to change my mind. It didn’t. I guess that’s what you get when a premium furnishings company goes into the food business. That said, no shade on the furniture—I actually love it.
