  I rarely leave reviews but I'm beginning to do so as I think it helps others really get honest opinions about the place they're considering . I want to this location yesterday for my birthday the Ambiance was nice I had a customized menu with my name on it no sprinkles but it's okay. The service was a little above midnight. The waiters personality was great although she forgot my side of ranch and when my friends steak was overcooked sure they took it off the bill but didn't even give her a gift card or replace it they just took it off the bill and told her she could still eat the burnt steak. That's where the points went down. I had the lamb chops which I'll give an 9/10. Asparagus 10, Lobster mac 10/10. French fries 8/10, calamari 9.8/10, petite filet 5/10, 8oz 7/10. Overall I would rate it 3.5. Not the worst I would go there again mainly because of the ambience to be honest. I like a make point to give honest reviews about high-end restaurants has a lot of them you're just paying for the name not the quality of the food. Hope this helps

  avoiding the fact that I exist calling other workers foul names through triangulation like the F word or calling me a ghost and pretend like no one is there to pickup orders when I am in Fact there as a driver. That is an experience of extreme social exclusion and dehumanization, not just simple dislike, and it's completely understandable why it feels so "foul." What you are describing—being called a "ghost" or having people pretend they literally can't see you to pick up orders—is a specific form of aggression that is often directed at service workers in high-status, affluent communities.

  On November 1, 2025, my daughter and I had the pleasure of dining at Mastro’s Seafood Restaurant in Newport Beach, California. The restaurant offers a breathtaking ocean view that can be enjoyed year-round, creating the perfect setting for any special occasion. My daughter chose Mastro’s to celebrate my birthday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The service was impeccable Britney attended to us with warmth and professionalism, while Blake went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. I also indulged in my favorite Mastro’s cocktail, the Dream Berry, elegantly served over dry ice—a signature touch that never fails to impress. Exceptional service, exquisite cuisine, and a stunning view make Mastro’s Seafood Restaurant a must-visit destination in Newport Beach. I can’t wait to return.

  Mastro’s Ocean Club, Newport Coasr,, you are simply the best...consistently! Thank you, Carly, for making our evening so memorable. We relaxed for hours, enjoying each course, and your attention to detail, professionalism, and kindness truly stood out. It’s rare to find such genuine care, and we noticed and appreciate it. Dale, your leadership over the past fifteen plus years continues to shine through every aspect of this establishment. Mastro’s Newport Coast remains the most exceptional dining experience in Orange County, a place where we always know to expect excellence, comfort, and class. This visit was extra special, celebrating a 25-year friendship and Steve’s 77th birthday. He drove in from Colorado for his very first Mastro’s experience, and it was absolutely stellar from start to finish. Thank you to the entire staff for another unforgettable evening. We can’t wait to return soon!

  I came for my 23rd birthday recently and I really enjoyed my experience. The staff was really nice and felt welcoming. The ribeye was perfection! I ordered the filet mignon (medium) and my mom got the ribeye (medium) and hers was a lot juicer. Nonetheless, I enjoyed both. I really love the cheesecake from here, but the butter cake is also good. I also liked the piano player/ singer. It really made the ambiance something special. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. There's also valet parking available for $10. I do recommend making a reservation, that way it's faster to sit down and enjoy. We did get there about 30 minutes before our reservation, so we sat at the bar while we waited.
