- LLLocs n Styles LLCFeb 16, 20261.0I come to this Baskin-Robbins in National City at least 4 times a week for a scoop of ice cream, so this experience was very disappointing. Today I decided not to get the ice cream after seeing the scoop. A young lady helped me at first, but when I asked for a refund, she went to get a man from the back who never identified himself. Instead of simply processing the refund (which was paid through Apple Pay), he demanded that I write a statement, print my name, and sign it just to receive my money back. That did not make sense to me, especially for a small transaction. He never clearly explained why this was necessary — he just kept demanding it. When I questioned it and asked for a normal refund process, he became dismissive and kept walking away. I did raise my voice out of frustration because I felt unheard and just wanted my refund handled properly. Instead of trying to calmly resolve the issue, he told me I wasn’t getting anything back and eventually called the police after I pulled my camera out. As a regular customer, I didn’t expect to be treated this way over a simple refund. I simply wanted my money returned through the same payment method. The lack of professionalism, communication, and basic customer service was very disappointing.

I was trying to ask for the smallest cake. This guy had pointed out to the ice cream cake that was 3 - 4 servings when I clearly saw the smaller, personal cake to the left of me. I told him, "On second thought, I'll just get 3 scoops of ice cream instead. Before I was rung up and checking out for my order, I asked if there were any discounts since it was my birthday. He said I would have to download the app to get the discount applied. Since I got the vibe he was rushing me, it felt like he wanted me to get the hell out asap. Nope, he didn't give me the time to download the app and apply the discount, even being nice to the guy ON MY BIRTHDAY. I've never dealt with so much poor customer service at an ice cream shop. You're supposed to make the customers feel HAPPY with their order, not make it look like you just want to make the sale. Looks like I won't be coming back to this location... EVER
