I’ve been to Sharon’s Soul Food about four times now, and the biggest issue is consistency. Some days the food is really good, and other days it tastes completely different depending on when you go. The most recent visit was pretty disappointing. The chicken fingers were cooked well, but they didn’t really taste seasoned at all... just kind of bland. The sweet potatoes were the worst part though… they were extremely undercooked, basically raw. It honestly felt like biting into something harder than an apple. Overall, the inconsistency makes it hard to recommend, and I probably wouldn’t go back.

Sharon’s is EXCEPTIONAL. We have been coming here for years and the quality, flavor, and service never disappoints. It’s the kind of food that you crave for weeks after you’ve been there because it’s just THAT good. The staff is always genuinely friendly and kind. It’s a true gem!

I’m sad to say I visited this establishment today 1/4/2026. I ordered the oxtails dinner👎👎👎 when I tell you tough and horrible 🥴 💯 I also added on a piece of catfish it was good but, when I went in for a second piece it was raw🤢🤢🤮😵‍💫. This restaurant had gone down hill, from my understanding they are under new management 😭😭😭 they need to get it together because I will not be back, I’m not trying to get salmonella from undercooked food. 💯🙁👎👎👎. On top of everything the server was cleaning a table off and use this nasty broom in the picture below to clean off the chairs that we sit on🤮🤮🤮🤮. Beware people!the health dept needs to come and inspect this restaurant ASAP. And if you’re wondering why it’s empty in here today on a Sunday, 😵‍💫everyone else already got the memo already 🤮🤢👎👎👎👎

This was my first time eating there. I know what Creole food is supposed to taste like, and that wasn’t it! Me and my family was very disappointed. The mac&cheese was definitely more than a day old. Greens taste sweet. There were long rubbery thin pieces in a few of our catfish (I didn’t even want to consider what that could’ve been.) I just told my kids to not eat it. The sweet potato pie lacked taste. It may have been old and lost its flavor, I don’t know. The price for that small slice was ridiculous. The only thing that I did like was the hush puppies. Here is the thing because I want the owners to be successful. Be careful who you let in the kitchen. If you got people that is not from your culture cooking your food and/or not trained well, that is bad for your business. The food is not going to taste like how it should. I have witnessed this too many times. I’ll leave it at that.

I usually come here with family on vacation. There's plenty of parking outside and they have a good amount of seating. I tried their sampler platter of four lagniappe (appetizers) to try. Their beef sausage po'boy ($16) and beignets ($13) were great. The po'boy came with a side of sweet potato fries and it was seasoned heavily with cinnamon. Beignets were fluffy and soft. My mom likes their shrimp etoufee. It comes with white rice on the side but it was hard and undercooked. It has a good amount of heat to it. The lagniappe plate ($17) I chose were 4 small bowls of their gumbo, etoufee, jambalaya, and red beans and rice. Their hushpuppies and maque choux which is corn with bell peppers, celery, and onions were also good. Their fried chicken was good too, crispy skin and seasoned, juicy meat. The staff is nice and the place is clean.
