  Went here tonight with my wife and kids for dinner and honestly it was a weird experience. Our server had an attitude from the start. When he took our drink order he already seemed irritated. After bringing the drinks he walked by our table and grabbed the menus without even asking if we were ready to order. A few minutes later my wife politely asked if we could place our order. He smiled and said “yeah” and then just walked away. After that he went to other tables, took their orders, and passed by us a couple times like we weren’t even there. We sat there about 15–20 minutes after asking to order, watching other tables get helped while we were completely ignored. Eventually I had to call out to him because we were just done waiting. I asked for the check so we could leave. He just said “okay” really quickly and brought it. So yeah… we never even ordered food. We got drinks and left. I’m not someone who usually bad writes reviews, but this one deserved it. We were polite the whole time and just wanted dinner with our family. Pretty disappointing experience.

  Ordered cake from Lazy Dog and was served what appears to be a collapsed drywall sample with emotional damage. Is this cake? Is it cornbread? Is it a construction material? No one knows. The texture said “crumbly regret.” The presentation said “we dropped it but sent it anyway.” It looks like it survived a minor earthquake before arriving at the table. I’ve seen better structure in sandcastles. The inside texture is giving “left out on the counter since Tuesday.” I didn’t eat dessert. I investigated it. If this is cake, it’s the rebellious cousin that refuses to identify as cake. Lazy Dog — please explain

  Love Lazy Dog in Montclair. Steven was our server and he was great 😊 super chill, on top of everything, and just made the whole experience easy and fun. The steak was so good, cooked perfectly, and the chicken pot pie never disappoints. Straight up comfort food. The house beers are solid too. I’m in the beer club and it’s 100% worth it if you come here often. Good food, good drinks, good service. Always a good time here.

  Came here with a buddy for brunch. We both had some breakfast food items and they were really good. The servers were very friendly and attentive. Zero complains, would definitely come back.

  I wanted to like this, but a dinner for 5 turned into a 3.5-hour ordeal. Food took 90 minutes to arrive and came out cold and incorrect (wrong sides, ignored dietary restrictions). We understand running out of items for the valentines course, but they didn't communicate it until we flagged them down. To top it off, we spent over 30 minutes waiting for them to fix mistakes on the bill that they added just to be blamed of not wanting to pay. Just very unorganized and subpar food.
