- CBCaroline Buster-Brown5 days ago4.0I'm sure it's a lovely Safeway, but I rely on the Safeway deli and bakery for all last minute festive affairs, and they didn't have anyone to help, no normal selection of ready made cakes, and pretty much refused to do lettering though the gal was there, but busy. No wait time offered or anything. They were going to at least ring us up at the deli, but that didn't happen either so we went to self checkout. The bakery at Safeway is open very early, but we weren't there at an odd time. It was morning, there was staff. The pre made Boston cream pie cake was a hit at least, the other was in front of an inaccurate sign and I we were in a hurry so it wasn't a big hit, nobody at the counter to check the label for me (I wear pretty thick glasses) even though they were right there they didn't think to answer or help confirm. I'll probably find a different Safeway on my route next time.

I was looking for a specific sauce in the glass sections, that the Safeway website indicated was in stock in that store. After at least 20 minutes of searching nearly every section of the store, I went to the service desk. I waited behind another customer for 14 to 15 minutes. The clerk never acknowledged me so I went to the only cashier who insisted the product is in aisle 3 or 4, even though I told him I had already searched that area. A few minutes later I approached the guy who was previously at the service counter. He tried to avoid me but finally he looked in aisle 3 and 4 and said "we don't have it". He walked away, I followed him and I said "don't walk away from me". Then he sees another section of the store where he thinks the product might be. But it wasn't. So I asked him how he could be sure they don't have it when he just reconsidered it could be in another section. He just kind of chuckled. Altogether I spent almost a full hour there. What I think he should have done: look up the product in the computer inventory to see exactly where it should be in the store.

You can stand there and the deli people not the Chinese guys doing the Chinese sushi stuff the deli people just ignore you like you are a nuisance and heaven forbid you should need to ask her/ them for condiments for the hot dogs they act like you you're a 3 headed monster. This is a real insult to the store manager the Safeway brand and to the customers who experience this rude behavior on a daily basis!
