The punjabi kid who works/ owns the place was super friendly, I was having a bad day, & he made it good & a memorable one.
It was my birthday yesterday, and I was so upset that no one wished me, and was frustrated with my career situation too. When I walked in the shop, I asked how does the birthday reward work, the kid said it's only on app or online & he continued making sandwich that was working on, so I went on my phone to download the app & I saw I had entered wrong month for my birthday, but I just went ahead and ordered on my phone. At the end when the kid was wrapping my sandwich I was pulling out my credit card to pay, and the Punjabi kid laughed & joked "you wanna pay again?, you can if you want 😏" . Then I opened up a little bit, and talking to him eased my mood. I told him I was sad cuz it was my birthday and my family forgot to wish me, and it was the third time, then He was like "oh happy birthday, let me get you some cookies, I have baked them freshly, they are still in the oven, which ones do you want?", I was like "oh no Please, you don't have to do that", he was like "they are fresh, take some", he also said I can grab any bag of chips I want, but I felt so overly grateful, I was happy for the care & love he showed, & somethings that he said to help me feel better, Like, "family sometimes forget, but it doesn't mean (something like 💁🏻♂️)" just changed my mood completely, I was so out of mind, I wasn't able to listen to anyone or understand, but his empathetic words eased my mood. I don't even remember if I said thank you to him. But his kind gesture made my day.
Sorry for the long post, but that's how grateful I am for what he did yesterday
