  This supermarket is very expensive, the quality is more or less. They can do this place better.

  Antonio Cesareo, do better with your employees and treat them as human beings. I just witnessed Allison on the verge of collapse because she had no one to help her with carts. She has been a friendly face for the years I have gone to this Safeway. The employees have always been respectful to us. Treat them better.

  It's a relatively large Safeway. Seems pretty clean, better staffed than most. Got some ready to eat Asian food. It was just so-so. Was probably mad 10 hours ago. Probably won't get it again.

  Safeway's (Albertson’s) customer service is beyond incompetent. I’ve wasted hours over the past couple days trying to correct an error and they’ve still left me hanging: --My home delivery order arrived missing several items. Instead, they left me a full bag of somebody else’s order. --I called the 1-800 number. They credited me for the missing items and said someone would come to pick up the misdelivered bag of groceries. NO ONE CAME. --Called them back the next day. I could hardly understand the agent – their phone system garbles their speech, making it mostly unintelligible. Made worse by the thick accent of non-native English speakers. She asked if she could call me back (presumably to try for a better connection) and I said sure. SHE NEVER CALLED BACK. --Plan B. Spent forever trying to call the store instead – it rings and rings and nobody answers. Finally reached someone who said it’s their policy not to take items back – contradicting the pickup the previous agent said she’d arranged the day before. --I asked to speak to the manager. Another long wait. He apologized and said he himself would come and pick up the misdelivered bag. He asked if I wanted him to also bring the items that were missing from my order. I said thanks but not necessary; I’d already been issued credit. I just wanted the misdelivered big bag of groceries I don’t eat picked up so it wouldn’t go to waste. He took my order number and address and said he expected he’d be over soon. Again I waited. Again… HE NEVER CAME. Worst customer service experience of my life. This wasn’t a screwup by one employee, but by a series of one after another. Safeway/Albertson’s lies to you, lies again, and keeps lying. Not just incompetent, but irresponsible and unethical. Better Business Bureau, blacklist them. Food shoppers, take your business anywhere else. POSTSCRIPT Read Safeway’s pre-written cut-and-paste response to my review… and pick your jaw up off the floor. This seals my case. After lying to me repeatedly through multiple channels and breaking one promise to me after another to fix their mistake, they have the nerve to say “We’re here to improve your shopping experience!?” “Reach out” to your Contact Us page -- are you kidding me? Why, because blowing me off three times in a row wasn’t enough; you want to add a fourth? THEY DON’T EVEN HEAR THEMSELVES. They’ve completely destroyed my trust. Their response is an insult. More proof of how utterly clueless, irresponsible and classless Safeway/Albertson’s is.
