  I had a cob salad with crispy chicken and my date had the Empire State steak,which she said was too much a big portion for her to finish, so I helped her a little to finish it. We had an appetizer called Bang Bang Shrimp and it was amazing! In all with a couple drinks each we ran a bill of $124.89 It was worth it. There was hardly anyone there before 5 pm so we got quick and great service.

  The restaurant is okay, I'd say, but in my opinion, they could have done better. The food I ordered was cold and took almost an hour to get to the table. I will say it was busy and looked understaffed, but as a first-time experience, I was unimpressed. After observing the place, it was dark, almost like you're eating in the dark. Also, while using the bathroom, the men's was flooded, and while checking another available washroom, the floor was sticky and gross with leaking pipes. The men's restroom on the bar side did not have this problem. The chairs were uncomfortable. When I got my food, it was warm but not hot, probably because of the busyness, but I did enjoy it. The staff were professional and well-trained and knew what they were doing high fives to them!

  We went for our wedding anniversary dinner. Just the two of us. It was very busy and I was glad I had made a reservation. The hostess was not particularly friendly, but she found our reservation and got us seated promptly. Our server was absolutely terrific. We had the NY steak and pistachio crusted salmon for mains and both were excellent. Both were served with mashed potatoes and asparagus, but the waiter asked about mashed potatoes with the salmon and suggested some alternatives so I ended up having the house salad, which was in a tangy dressing with beets and feta and really complimented the salmon. The asparagus was perfectly cooked. We also had their crème brûlée which was covered in a perfect sheet of crackly caramel with a large thinly sliced strawberry as a garnish. 10/10. Our only negative is that it’s right on the parking lot at Kildonan place and so you don’t have much of a view of anything but cars and people, if you happen to be seated near the window and it is a bit dark in the restaurant.

  This was our first time visiting the state and main that we’ve been wanting to check out since it’s opened. I had such a great experience thanks to our server Amanda. From the moment we sat down, they were attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome without being overbearing. They knew the menu really well and gave great recommendations that ended up being spot on. What stood out the most was how they handled everything so smoothly, even when it got busy, they stayed calm, organized, and made sure we had everything we needed. Our drinks were always refilled, the timing of the food was perfect, and they checked in just the right amount. You can tell they really care about providing good service. It made the whole experience that much better, and I’d definitely come back because of them. Thank you Amanda for the incredible service. We will be back and hope to be served by Amanda again.

  -Not worth it- Papa says he will never be back and the whole family agrees. They booked us into the lounge without asking us if everyone was of age. We ended up having to wait longer for a table. Service wasn’t great very slow. Nice booth. Horrible lighting I couldn’t even read the menu. Water was warm and the only time we got cold water until we ended up leaving. Too many tvs and ruined the vibe. The grilled cheese burger wasn’t what it describes it is grilled bread and non melted Kraft cheese slices. The pretzel and beer cheese dip is not great. The best thing to get Bangkok bowl something like that very flavourful but still greasy. Wouldn’t recommend and don’t understand the “hype”
