We had a great experience at Montana’s today! Our server Tracy was amazing, super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food came out hot and fast, and Tracy checked in just the right amount without ever feeling rushed. Really appreciated the great service. We’ll definitely be back!

Called ahead to book a reservation and was told reservations weren’t necessary. When we arrived, we were immediately asked if we had a reservation. We were told the wait would be about 20 minutes. However, after being seated and ordering all of our drinks, we were then asked to return to the waiting area. The situation became quite confusing, and it seemed the newer staff members were unsure how to handle the seating arrangements. The main host had to step in and sort everything out. This was supposed to be a graduation dinner, and at one point our group was almost seated separately because of the confusion. It was frustrating and disruptive to the experience. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgment or compensation offered for the inconvenience. Better training and communication among staff would help prevent situations like this and create a smoother experience for guests, especially during special occasions.

If you’re considering Montana’s BBQ & Bar, be prepared for a completely disorganized experience. We called ahead and were told they don’t take reservations and that walk-ins are fine. So we arrived as a family, actually there to celebrate my little sister’s graduation, expecting a simple, nice meal together. Instead, we were left dealing with chaos from the start. After about 20 minutes of waiting, we were finally seated as a group—only to then be told to get up and move because another group “was here before us,” even though we had already been seated and were clearly there first. To make it worse, instead of fixing the situation, we were just told it would be another 15–20 minute wait. There was no clear system, no communication, and no one seemed to actually know who was waiting or who was next. It felt completely disorganized and unfair, especially on what was supposed to be a special family celebration for my sister’s graduation. Definitely not the kind of experience you expect when you’re trying to enjoy an important moment with your family. I worked in restaurants front and back and this is worst experience I have seen!

I had dinner with my family there on 6/13/26 and i felt very unwelcomed. first of all the service was unpleasant off the start, our server paid zero to little attention to our table. my family was nice and just expecting a lovely evening out to celebrate a birthday. it was disheartening and sad when our table hardly got checked in on, multiple times we had to ask other servers for help when ample time had passed for our server to check in on us. we would’ve been okay with waiting, but it felt very intentional when our server was at tables right next to us, waiting on them but walking past our table avoiding eye contact. not to mention we were the only indigenous people there, and the other tables weren’t indigenous and had plenty of help, while it felt like we were personally ignored, it felt very rude, racist and intentional, and this has never happened at any other restaurant we dined at as a family. my younger niece left crying because of this. Our server became combative when we were walking out because my brother mumbled under his breath (the only time we truly showed frustration which is human and valid) she proceeded to follow after us and question my brother and his partner, creating an argument where my brothers partner tried to de-escalate because it wasn’t helpful or professional of the server to be starting a verbally abusive argument that lasted several minutes! while the acting managers were standing there watching, it felt like we were targeted, as an indigenous person it’s hard to stand up without seeming like the aggressive person of colour, i’m glad my brothers partner (who is white) was there and the only person the server wasn’t being hostile to. I couldn’t read her writing but the servers name looked like “pretty” or “prevvy”. please do better, no family should leave crying because they felt discriminated against. especially in this day and age, im so disappointed and disheartened to ever dine here again, in fear of experiencing verbal abuse or racism.

I went there for pickup ordr my order was good but the balance that i had to pay extra becoz of ur stupid machine tht took my $5 scene points money nd the manager who was on line was samreet i think thts what the the other called she said to me your point were reddemed only for $5 either you can pay rest by yourself or u can redeem your other points by sepearately bt you will loose this $5 scene points and i was standing there for long and i didn't wanted to make scene becoz the delivery guy was waiting and the other customer was there waiting like me for orders, so i agreed to do the other transaction with points and when i payed i saw tht i had to pay $3.50 from my own pocket on top of what i had paid with scene points money and $5 scene points that i lost why did i have pay $3.50 it was not my mistake it was ur machine and the manager on line who didn't think of this i thought of paying whole food purchase with points but i had to pay extra that is not the kind of experience i expect from montana, i love dining experience not the pickup where i had to pay extra not becoz of my mistake it was manager and the other employee, manager should come up with a solution, not making the same mistake your employee did and asking the person to pay extra plz i would like to get this resolve, it isn't about paying just$3.50 its abt with how many more they must hve did, i am attching the receipt plz look into it,
