- PPParmAug 17, 20261.0My friends and I were visiting Brandon for a night out and stayed there last night. After checking into our Airbnb, we decided to go to Joy’s for the evening. There were 8 of us, and unfortunately, all of us left feeling very disappointed with the service we received. When we arrived, we were given a table that only had seating for 6 people. We understand that we could have grabbed extra chairs ourselves, but with a group of 8, we expected the staff to notice the situation and provide the additional seating. One of our friends eventually had to get a chair himself, while I was still left standing. We were not told that we had to wait for another server or that we needed to do anything ourselves. A server eventually came over, but she didn’t even notice that I was still standing without a chair. On top of that, the way she placed the glassware on the table came across as very rude and careless. The entire interaction was awkward and completely beyond what we expected from the restaurant. These may seem like small things, but basic customer service means making sure your guests are properly accommodated and treated respectfully. There were 8 of us, and unfortunately, every single one of us left feeling upset about the experience. What was supposed to be a fun night out with friends turned into a very disappointing experience. I honestly expected much better service and hospitality from Joy’s Brandon.

The staff was excellent and brought him another pc of fish which was much better. In this pic of fish, the was throughout the battler and had good taste. I had an original burger which was really nothing exceptional. I felt it wasn’t even cooked to my liking.

I hadn’t pushed my plate away and was still chewing a mouth full of food and the waitress asked if I was done with my plate that still had food on it. Not sure what the rush was.
