- RSRenee SotoFeb 9, 20261.0Came through the drive thru for breakfast & had enough points to get my husband a free sausage McGriddle. We ordered and I gave the employee the code however he said it wasn’t working. I said okay I can show you at the window. I showed him at the window and I heard him say it’s the same price anyways. I thought that was odd however my husband proceeded to hand him the cash. After I looked at the receipt and it was a different employee who handed us the food and He appeared to be the manager, as he was wearing a blue button shirt. I informed him that we got charged for the sandwich I should have gotten for free. He asked the employee who took the code if he inputed the code, he informed yes. The manager tried inputting the code and I even showed him twice the code and the details of the sausage McGriddle that was supposed to be for free. He said sorry it’s not working I said okay, can you input it manually? He said let me try again and he said sorry it’s not taking. He then said something about how it is probably just to accumulate points and that’s it. That is false info as I clearly go to McDonald’s and the program they offer is pretty self explanatory, you earn points & redeem for free items or discounted items. The manager needs a training on customer service and perhaps the whole team there needs it as well. I expected more coming from a manager. They lost a customer and hope this can help another customer in the future of my experience , however I hope it doesn’t happen to anyone. Oh and I checked my app and they clearly took all of the points, after they said it wasn’t registering. I had over 3,000 points and now not anymore. Very disappointed customer!
