Every time I visit, I find myself waiting far too long for assistance in the flower department. I have given this store multiple chances, but after today’s experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere. During my visit today, I was selecting flowers and asked the employee in the floral department if she could wrap them in a different color. She responded by telling me she couldn’t help because she “cannot do overtime” While I understand that employees have schedules, this is not an appropriate way to speak to a customer seeking assistance. I then went to the self-checkout area and asked an employee if he could call someone to help me with the flowers. He directed me to his supervisor, who had short red hair and was on the phone. I attempted multiple times, loudly and clearly to get her attention, saying “excuse me” about five times, but she ignored me and continued walking. When she finally acknowledged me, I politely asked if someone could wrap the flowers. She simply said “no, I’m busy” It is unacceptable for customers to be treated this way. I am generally a very understanding person, but being dismissed, ignored, and denied basic customer service is extremely disappointing. I hope this issue is addressed so that other customers do not have to experience the same level of disrespect and lack of service.
