My experience on 03/15/19. Went to buy two subway meals. First mistake, lady behind me in line, is charged first, and skipped me in line. No problem with me. She is short .29¢. Male employee behind the counter says no money, no sandwich to the lady. She proceeded to ask me for money, you know pan handle. To throw her off I showed her my debit card (I planned on paying cash) but the employee allowed her to panhanlde with other patrons in line as well. Her sandwich remained on the table. I guess they allow panhandlers inside Subway, I have no problem with that. She walks away asking for money, I'm next to be charged for two sub meals. Total is over $30, male employee didnt bother to check that $30 is a bit high for two meals. Female employee grabs the panhandlers sub and gives it to her at the same moment my girlfriend gave the aggressive panhanlder $5 to leave her alone. The lady left with a free subway sandwich charged to me and $5 my gf gave her. Check the cameras, please. I heard the male employee whisper in Spanish to the female employee as they realized I paid for the panhandlers sub. The male employee nervously asked me if I wanted my receipt. He was trying to hide his mistake! This is were things got bad and I got upset. I always get a receipt from Subway without asking, red alarm goes off. Check my receipt. I was charged around $30 for my two footlong sub meals and the panhandlers 6' Sub, how did they correct it? Void the order, and charge me again, nearly $25. So I payed nearly $55, for two cold sub's (food got cold waiting for the order to be voided) and the male never offered an apology, never made eye contact with me and simply proceeded to help the next guests. Nothing. I asked for credit for the sub from a female employee, was told they have to void order and charge me again and there is no exemption. For a $6 difference this ordeal now involves me paying a total of nearly $60 after taxes, Incredible! Come 4 days later, still no money deposited in my bank. I called Debbie, store manager after calling the store. She said I need to bring in my original receipt and come to the store so they can investigate as anyone can claim they were shorted. I explained to her I spoke to an employee at the store and he pulled up my order without needing my receipt (which is at home) and didnt appreciate being treated like a liar as I have my credit card with me. She said I needed to call my bank and ask them to deposit my money? What!? This is criminal, very bad customer service. All this over a panhandler short .29¢ and gross customer service I received from Subway. I plan on filing a discrimination lawsuit. Got bad service, cold food, no help from management and being given the run around. The difference was around $6. Now I'm waiting for the bank, subway or god to refund my cash ($30 goes a long way). I'll make sure never to visit that establishment. I asked for store credit, was told no. Still havent got my money and got two cold nasty sub's with brown lettuce to top if all off. I shouldn't be calling my bank, looking for receipts or making a damn presentation to Subway to refund my damn money. This makes the blood boil. Looking forward to talking to my attorney to request camera footage to show how Subway operates and treats paying customers. They allow panhandlers to take your money, food and time. I look forward to a generic response treating me like the bad guy. Wow. Im notifying corporate. 03/19/19 still no refund. Thanks Subway.
