Anniversary dinner at Nobu LA- it was our 1st time at a Nobu and we tried all the classic dishes, from black cod miso to spicy tuna crispy and the bread pudding. Everything was amazing - from the service to the food.

I've been to numerous locations across the county and this is the worst so far. We wrre seated in cafeteria style seating next to high school kids. They spent their meal using slurs/profanity, putting ice down the other's shirt, and doing FaceTime calls while one was wearing a hoodie with the hood up. Based on their conversation they weren't happy about the seating conditions either. Do better Nobu.

As a 21-year-old guest who dined here last night, I want to share my experience for anyone considering this location. If you appear young, be prepared not to be taken seriously. The attitude and looks I received from staff were surprisingly dismissive and unprofessional. The lowest tip option was $100, yet the service I received wasn’t even $5 worth. On top of that, the food was mediocre and not worth the hype, which made the entire experience even more underwhelming. Spending $500 on dinner with my partner came with certain expectations, and this restaurant did not meet any of them. I left extremely disappointed, and I will never be stepping foot in this location again.

Highlights: - Wagyu beef tacos: amazing soft texture, big beefy flavours, a fantastic bite of food - White truffle steak: Cooked beautifully with the fried flowered onion on top, a perfect pairing Good: - Miso black cod: very flaky, beautiful to eat. It’s just not something special anymore, many restaurants are now serving this dish to the same or similar quality. Would be great to see some innovation here. - I enjoyed the fried chilli’s, nice appetisers, good hint of spice paired with the sweetness of the sauce. Overall: Good environment, good food, great service. Overall I just feel Nobu is lacking that ‘oomph’ that makes it stand out. The white truffle steak is holding its ground, for the moment. Still, a good place to take friends or a date.
