Our team from work ate here after a conference across the street at the convention center.
The martinis were perfect, my ahi tuna entrée was delicious and a large portion, our server was prompt and friendly, and they had live music in the bar. It is expensive but I really enjoyed it and would come back for sure.
I visited the restaurant on Valentine's Day. It was packed. Even with a reservation we waited about 40 minutes, but we expected a wait. The parking lots in the surrounding area price gouged their rates. We paid $100 to park. We ate the following items: jumbo lump crab cakes, sauteed shrimp, 12oz bone in filet, scalloped potatoes, lobster Mac and cheese, creamed spinach, chocolate cheesecake & bread service. Everything was great with the exception of the scalloped potatoes. I wasn't a fan, but the presentation was good. It was a busy night for the restaurant and they still brought our food out timely. The live music added a great touch to our dining experience. I would recommend that they only accept reservations on special holidays. The waiting area was packed and uncomfortable. I would return, but I'll definitely Uber next time.
The environment was amazing was something I thought I was gonna say, I’ve heard amazing things about this place but when I went it wasn’t one of those days, I ate my food and when it was time to leave I asked the busser I believe his name was Ronnie or ronae but he had an attitude and whispered a derogatory remark under his breath , I asked him what he said and he laughed at me and said Im just grabbing the plates and rolled his eyes as he walked away, this is NOT the type of service I would’ve expected from such a place of high regard.
I don’t think I will ever eat here again if “ Ron” will be picking up after me
I had a 9:00 PM reservation at Mastro’s on Valentine’s Day weekend. We arrived around 9:13 PM due to valet being completely full and having to find alternate parking downtown. I completely understand being slightly late, especially on a busy holiday weekend, and we checked in as soon as we arrived.
What was disappointing was the wait time after that. We didn’t receive a text to be seated until 10:20 PM — over an hour later — at which point we had already decided to leave and were back at the car. Waiting over an hour past our reservation time felt excessive, especially for a restaurant at this price point.
We did grab drinks at the bar while we waited, but there was no clear communication about how long the delay would be or whether our table had been given away due to arriving about 12–15 minutes late. A heads-up about the expected wait time would have made a big difference and allowed us to decide whether to stay or make other plans.
I understand Valentine’s weekend is one of the busiest times of the year, but when you make a reservation at an "upscale" restaurant, you expect better time management and communication. Unfortunately, we didn’t even get the chance to dine.
Disappointed with the experience and hoping management improves how they handle reservations and wait times during peak holidays.

This restaurant had been at the top of my list since moving to LA, so I chose it for my birthday dinner with a group of close friends — unfortunately, that turned out to be a BIG MISTAKE.
Despite having a private reservation, we still had to wait to be seated, and when we were finally ready to be sat, the personalized menus were not set on the table as requested.
Service was extremely slow: we waited OVER AN HOUR for our first course (part of a prix fixe menu) and our drinks, with no check-ins, refills, or communication from staff. We were left with only water and bread with no check-ins for AN HOUR.
Once the food arrived, the quality did not match the price point. The lobster bisque was watery and overly salty, and the steaks and sides were severely underseasoned. To make matters worse, one of the servers DROPPED a guest’s plate while repacking, which pretty much affirmed the lack of care and preparation for our group.
As someone who plans private events both professionally and personally, this experience felt disappointing and disrespectful. While management did comp a portion of the meal, it did not make up for the overall service and execution. I would strongly advise against booking a group or special-occasion dinner at this particular location.
