My most handsome husband and I went to Fleming’s before a Lakers game. We had a phenomenal lunch of a beet and kale salad, a crudo and of course some delicious wine, but what really stood out was our server Luis and our beyond call of duty Danial our busboy. He was beyond helpful and amazing and we know that often the people behind the scenes do not get recognized enough. Danial was superb and one of the nicest busers ever. He is beautiful inside and out! We loved our lunch!!!

Too expensive for mediocre food. I ordered a medium-rare prime bone-in ribeye with an Atlantic lobster tail. Sadly, my stake was lukewarm and more raw than what I ordered. The lobster tail was small and not steamed all the way, making it chewy and with a strong fishy flavor. Not worth the $400 bill.

The only reason the rating isn’t lower is because my wife said her food was good and the service during such a busy time was pretty good. So I took my wife here for Valentine’s Day and It was really busy, but the employees handled it very well. The only and main complaint I have is the dry aged ribeye smelled like a wet rag. This was my first time eating it and assumed that the aging process gave a unique smell, but when I started eating it, the taste was just like you would assume a moldy wet rag would taste. Again this was my first time and I thought this was normal so I swore off ever eating dry aged meat again. I stopped eating it after about 4 maybe 5 bites because I couldn’t do it anymore. After we left I was curious and Googled it, well it turns out it could have been mishandled during the aging process or not trimmed properly. Either way I do not recommend it at all. The rest of the food was really good and given how busy it was the service was not bad, but I am in no hurry to return just because the steak was that bad.

I had an extremely disappointing experience booking a board dinner at Fleming’s in Los Angeles, and I would not recommend this location for any professional or private events. We reserved a private dining room for a group of 14 and paid a $1,000 deposit in advance. I signed the contract immediately. The only follow-up I requested was a simple correction to the spelling of my first name. I asked the coordinator to let me know if anything else was needed. I never heard back and assumed everything was set. While I was out of office for winter break, the events coordinator (Megan Gifford) never called me, despite having my cell phone number. Instead, she sent an email three days before our event stating that if I didn’t sign a new contract (solely to correct my name), our reservation would be canceled. Even though the original contract was already signed and the deposit paid. When I opened the contract I signed it and it was not showing as canceled at all. When I finally got in touch with the restaurant, I was told that we had been removed from the private room without notice and placed in the main dining room instead. We were assured it would still be fine for conversation, which was absolutely not true. It was loud, chaotic, and completely inappropriate for a board dinner. To make matters worse, part of our group was seated next to the restroom, which was unacceptable. Our board members are attorneys, and we could barely hear one another. It was embarrassing for our organization. When we raised concerns with the on-site manager, we were told this was a “booking issue” and nothing could be done at the restaurant. No comp, no adjustment, just a single round of drinks covered by the manager. At the end of the evening, we were also incorrectly charged the full amount, with the $1,000 deposit not applied, requiring yet another correction and refund. From start to finish, this was disorganized, poorly handled, and unprofessional. I book events regularly with a lot of restaurants in multiple states and we never have this issue. I would never book an event here again and strongly advise anyone planning a business dinner or private event to look elsewhere.
