While some things have changed over the last few decades, El Pollo Loco's delivery of fresh, authentic food has not. Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then expertly fire-grilled to perfection the authentic way - on our signature open-flame grills - then hand cut into your favorite Mexican entrees. We put that same dedication and care into our handmade guacamole, salsas and dressings every day. At El Pollo Loco in Los Angeles,CA, we believe that when real food meets real fire the result is great taste that will keep you coming back again and again.
Customers generally enjoyed the food, noting it was tasty and fresh, though some reported issues with dryness and missing items.

Got two burrito bowls for $13 with a BOGO deal recently. Delicious chicken and wonderful hot sauce. Love the guacamole as well. Staff are really helpful but orders are mostly done via kiosk. Signing up for the app member actually got me pretty good deals, and filling the survey gets $3 off for the next purchase. Place stinks a bit and the toilet is locked and quite messy. Best deal for Mexican food around though!

The place looks nice and clean — clearly got a recent facelift. Unfortunately, the new ordering system feels like it replaced half the staff with three giant touchscreens that want to upsell me at every tap. I miss the days when a real person would take your order and maybe even smile. Now it’s just me arguing with a machine that keeps suggesting combos and add-ons nobody wants. It’s efficient, I guess… if you count losing all human contact as “efficient.”
