Friday, January 30th: ordered two pizzas through the Domino’s app for a simple family dinner. What followed was less “pizza night” and more “culinary cautionary tale.” Pizza #1 was supposed to be a thin-crust cheese pizza with extra cheese. Somehow, it arrived with anchovies and without extra cheese. That one turns out to be my mistake on the app, so fair enough—anchovies were on me. Lesson learned. Pizza #2, however, was entirely Domino’s doing. It was supposed to be a New York–style crust pizza with extra cheese and extra Philly cheesesteak. What we received was a soggy, paper-thin, underbaked stew that could generously be described as pizza-adjacent. No extra cheese. No extra Philly cheesesteak. Barely cooked. Wet. Sloppy. Completely inedible. I’ve had sturdier napkins. A few days later, we called to discuss the issue—calmly, reasonably, assuming a remake or credit would be standard practice when a pizza is objectively awful. Instead, the manager reviewed our account and informed us that this was our third complaint to Domino's Pizza, Inc. in roughly ten years, and therefore… no replacement. No credit. Nothing. Apparently there’s a lifetime complaint quota now, and we’ve recklessly exhausted it over the course of a decade, of which one complaint was a stale salad that arrived terribly past its expiration date and dead on arrival. The solution offered? Just order again and pay for it. My wife and I were genuinely stunned. Not because mistakes happen—but because the response was basically: “Yes, the pizza was terrible. Yes, you paid for extras you didn’t receive. But statistically speaking, you’ve complained too much since 2015.” If this is how customer service works at Domino's Pizza, I’d recommend saving your money and your appetite. At this location, accountability is optional, quality control is negotiable, and loyalty apparently counts against you. We won’t be back. And this review is free, unlike the replacement pizza we were told to buy ourselves!!! Stinkers!!
