I’ve had Chipotle countless times over the years at many different locations, and this was the first time the food went straight to trash after a few bites. I ordered in-person and it was already chaotic in there with multiple items missing (e.g. no white rice). Management should review the evening shift kitchen operations during this time, because the results were beyond disappointing. The burrito with the new Carne Asada—advertised as “the most tender steak”—was extremely dry, tough, and overcooked, closer in texture to dried jerky than steak. The chicken, usually my go-to item at Chipotle, was severely burnt and bitter, with a strong charred and ashy taste in every single bite. It is very hard to understand how food in this condition passed the line without any quality check. This reflects a serious lapse in basic cooking standards and quality control at this location. I truly enjoy Chipotle and consistently recommend it, but this experience was unacceptable on every level. Customers should not have to pay for food that is not fit to be served and should have been discarded, not handed to paying customers.
