The food is good, the location is very convenient to my work, and it’s one of the few places in Los Altos open between 2–5 pm when most restaurants are closed. The atmosphere is also pleasant. The first time I thought maybe I was imagining it, but after my second visit it became clear that it wasn’t a one-time issue. Both times I was treated with shocking rudeness by the hostess. In a service-based business, basic courtesy should be the standard, yet she spoke to me as if I were an inconvenience, even a burden. Every simple question I asked—about the menu or payment—was met with visible irritation and dismissive behavior. I understand this may be a family-run business, and she might be related to the owners, but this is not how a business should operate. You have lost me as a customer permanently. Not only that, but I will not be recommending this place to any of my clients, and will actively advise against visiting.

Generous portions of extremely fresh fish on well-sized, perfectly cooked slabs of sushi rice. And beautifully presented. A bit pricey ($45) but well worth it. Can highly recommend.
