I absolutely LOVE this place! I come into town every so often for work, but when I do it’s a must stop. I’m usually not one to write reviews but I had to because of the service & coffee<3. This past week I got helped by Yami & Isaac and they were absolute angels. But I’ve also gotten really good service with Jonathan and Nic. Amazing!!!

A little noisy, but lovely decor and great food! Excellent place if you enjoy drinking tea or coffee (both hot and cold). If you prefer soda with your meal, this is not the place for you! The truffle mushroom grilled cheese is fabulous!

Basically, the whole place in a chaos. We had a reservation, but we still stood around for nearly 20 minutes just waiting to be seated. When they finally took us to our table, it wasn’t even cleared yet, so we had to wait another 20 mins while they tidied up.
And that was just the start. Ordering was slow and all over the place—like our cold brew took 30mins that our food actually arrived first. We kept trying to flag down servers who would say “sure” and then vanish. Even paying the bill turned into a whole extra waiting game we have to call the bill for 3 times before it finally arrives. And to top it off, they ran out of water glasses, so we had to remind them multiple times that we needed enough for everyone.
In short, all these little details just showed how totally uncoordinated everything was.

I have no idea how this place is even still operating. We stood at the front door for over 15 minutes just to be acknowledged and added to the waitlist — and this was on a weekend morning when half the restaurant was completely empty. No greeting, no communication, just staff walking around pretending we didn’t exist.
When we were finally seated, we were given the tiniest table imaginable — for three people. We could barely fit our plates, let alone enjoy our meal. And even after all that waiting, we sat there with no water for another 20 minutes until the server finally noticed. It felt like we were invisible.
But the worst part?
You’re required to place your order AND pay — including tips — before they even start serving you. So essentially, you are tipping for service you haven’t received yet… and as it turns out, won’t receive at all.

Large amounts of mud in sandwich greens and poor follow-up.
We had lunch at BlueStone Lane in Los Altos earlier today. I ordered the Truffle Mushroom Grilled Cheese, and my friend had the Chicken Avocado Toastie.
While eating, I noticed a gritty texture that I first thought was coarse salt from the chips. Halfway through, I lifted the toast to eat it open-faced, and was horrified to find large amounts of mud coating the arugula. Every leaf was covered with muddy clumps.
We checked my friend's sandwich too and found the same thing. Her dish wasn't even supposed to include arugula according to the menu, which is also concerning, what if someone had a food allergy?
After serving the food, no one checked on us, the ketchup I asked for never arrived. We had to ask the waitress who's walking by, when she saw the plate, she said "eww" and took it away. About ten minutes later another staff member came over and said they were "looking into it," explaining that they "had recently changed produce suppliers and the new vendor hadn't told them the arugula needed to be washed"??? I thought any competent restaurant can tell when vegetables are dirty and need to be washed, shouldn't rely on a vendor to say so.
We waited about another 15 minutes with no update. They eventually comped the meal, but the attitude was distant. To be honest, even if they paid me, I wouldn't want to eat mud.
Roughly ten minutes after leaving, I started to feel continuous stomach pain and diarrhea. It's been eight hours now, and I'm still having the symptoms.I rarely ever get sick from food, the last time I had something like this was two years ago..
The restaurant was fairly busy, with around twenty tables coming and going while we were waiting. I'm not sure how long ago they switched vendors, but if the greens have been unwashed during that entire time, many customers could have eaten muddy and dirty produce without realizing it.
I don't usually post reviews, but I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and ensures their ingredients are properly cleaned going forward.
