- JMJim MunsonFeb 23, 20261.0Horrible experience yesterday at Von’s 5949 E. Spring St., Long Beach, CA 90808. First problem, laundry soap is locked up. Finally found someone to open the cabinet and he said people were stealing the laundry pods, hence the lockup. Why lock up all the soap if only the pods are stolen? Next, he said that I could pick up the soap at the checkout. I paid for my groceries and realized that I forgot the soap. I got back in line again and told the cashier Jackson what happened. He told me to wait outside the line and that he would get it for me. He continued to check out multiple customers while completely ignoring me. Finally the gentleman who unlocked the cabinet came by and asked me if I got my laundry soap. I told him I was waiting and he then found the soap for me and told me that I would have to get back in line to pay for it. After waiting in a long line (again), Jackson finally checked me out with the soap. No apologies or anything and when I complained he just shrugged his shoulders. Very disappointed at the lack of customer service by this cashier at this location. Seems to me that I could have gone to Customer Service (no one waiting there), to pay for the item instead of waiting once again in a long checkout line. Store Manager, you really need to do better!
